As Ruby finished her last cookie she smiled with contentment. She gave Yang a thumbs up approvingly.
"Glad you liked them, sis." Yang gave Ruby a bump on the arm. "But you know, if you eat too many cookies you'll get fat." Yang chuckled. Poor Ruby's cookie-covered face stared sadly up at Yang.
She tried to manage, "Fat?"
Yang picked up the next sheet of the sugar-packed treats and shoved them in the hot oven. "Never mind." She chuckled.
Even Blake, who was at least a floor down from their tiny apartment in the school library, could smell the amazing cookies baking from below. From the table a couple feet away from her, team JNPR was playing a card-game but was interrupted suddenly by Jaune's voice.
"Um…Do I smell…Brownies?" He stared up at the library's ceiling, looking around for where the amazing aroma came from.
"Are you crazy?" Shouted Nora, dropping all of her cards on to the table, oblivious that everyone could see them. Jaune jumped from Nora's loud voice. Nora blinked. "They're OBVIOUSLY chocolate chip cookies!"
Ren smirked and rolled his eyes. "Nora."
"What, Ren!" Nora answered. She slowly sat down again, realizing they were in a library, after all.
"How do you know that?"
Nora politely pointed out Weiss, who was in the hallway across from them, screaming into her scroll. Ren answered in a non-surprised tone, "Oh. Okay then."
"You idiot! Do you even know how dangerous baking chocolate chip cookies in our small apartment is?!" Weiss raged into her scroll. The whole library stopped what they were doing to look at Weiss, who didn't see herself making a scene in front of everyone. "That was danger-" She looked up at the large crowd who had gathered around her to watch, even Blake, who sighed because she was on the last page of Ninjas of love when Weiss interrupted.
"I-I mean… Do you even know how cool that is?" She tried to slowly say into her scroll, still held close to her red face filled with embarrassment. She hit the End Call button as quickly as possible, and tip-toed away so quick that if you blinked you would have missed her. The entire crowd awed and oohed as they watched rage-filled Weiss disappear.
Nora interrupted the oohs and ahs with a simple, "See, Jaune? I was right." She smiled as if she accomplished something amazing.
Pyrrha could not hold back her laughter, so to cover it she held her hands over her red face. The crowd now stared at team JNPR as if they were crazy people, as well.
Nora stood up once again and shamelessly shouted, "What are you staring at?"
The crows then went back to reading and chatting as soon as Nora told them off.
Even Blake chuckled. It was funny, after all.
