Focus

Greg has a tendancy to run late.

This was for partly bouncy who requested Greg and Sara and the prompt of being on time. Sara & Greg friendship with a dash of GSR.

Ever since the whole Sherlock case, Greg had basically been handed over to Sara for training. Which was good and bad in her opinion. Good because it showed that Grissom was serious when he had told her he wanted to rebuild their friendship. And one way towards that goal seemed to entail professional respect.

The bad part of it was Greg's over abundance of energy.

And his tendency to be late.

She sort of understood. Greg's focus was so intense, he often forgot about the rest of the world when focusing on a task. A state of mind she had endured at more than one point in her career. So normally she wouldn't be concerned with it.

Except today, they had ridden out to a scene together and Greg's ability to warp time was going to make her late for breakfast with Grissom.

And she couldn't just blurt that out to Greg.

She retreated to the Denali for some water and to take a moment to collect her thoughts as to why they had to leave NOW. She had been debating between telling Greg she had a gynecologist appointment or a meeting with her counselor. Both would hopefully not lead to more questions.

Greg's phone ringing and subsequent head nodding had her curious about who had called him. His packing up of the bit of evidence he had been staring at for the last half hour had her perplexed.

"That was Grissom," Greg said as he loaded his kit and evidence bags into the truck. "He said if I wasn't back in the lab so that we could clock out on time, he'd make me pay your overtime."

Well, that was one good thing about dating the boss. She didn't have to make the excuses for needing to leave on time.
