Remus arrived home after a long day of helping Peter move. Despite their friendship, Remus honestly couldn't stand Peter. The way he always talked about James and Sirius, like they were gods, was just too much for him to take.
Not a second after his feet hit the floor, a hard body slammed into him.
"Where have you been? I've been looking for ages." Sirius questioned.
"I was helping Wormtail move. I told you that this morning, before I left."
"No you didn't." Sirius said, folding his arms over his chest.
"Yes, I did. You just don't remember because you were half asleep, despite the fact that it was nearly ten o'clock." Remus raised his eyebrow at Sirius and waited for a reply.
"Well, nobody should be up before noon anyways. You have to come with me now though. I have something to show you before it gets dark."
"What is it?"
"That's a surprise."
Sirius grabbed Remus's hand, thought about where he wanted to go, and apparated away from their home. They spun through the air wildly. Remus held on tightly, afraid that if he let go, he'd fall somewhere far away.
It wasn't long before they landed in a field, covered in dark green grass and wild flowers of all colors. The sky over their heads was darkening and gray storm clouds were rolling in. Thunder could be heard some distance away.
Sirius ignored all this though and marched forward, his eyes on the ground. Remus stood and watched him with amusement. It was obvious to him that Sirius had, once again, lost his mind, but Remus was content to let him have his fun.
"Come on, it can't be gone." Remus heard Sirius say some distance away.
"What can't be gone?" Remus asked as he ran to catch up with Sirius.
"It was right here earlier! I know it was! Where is it? Where is it? Oh! I found it. Remus, close your eyes."
"What?" Remus asked.
"Close your eyes."
Remus sighed, but did as he was told. Might as well not spoil Sirius's fun too soon. Remus felt Sirius's hand touch his back and lead him to his left a few steps.
"Okay, now open your eyes and look straight down." Sirius said.
Once again, Remus did as he was told. He opened his eyes, looked straight down, and saw nothing of real interest. There were flowers and grass. There was one flower, though, that looked slightly familiar. The flower was blood red, with a yellow center. There were seven petals. Remus looked around, but saw no other flowers similar.
"What is it?" He asked, feeling as if he should already know the answer.
"Wolfsbane flower."
Remus looked up at Sirius with shock. Sirius smiled.
"How did you find this?"
"I looked."
That smile warmed Remus' heart, even more than what this flower meant for him.
"You are truly amazing."
"Only for you."
