It's all over.

No matter how hard I try, there's no way out. I've tried to dodge what was coming right at me. My once blissful paradise has now been crumpled up and turned to ashes, in what seemed like just mere moments. Without that heaven, there's nothing of me left. All that IS left in my rapidly-fading life is the darkness that overcame me.

I began to fall.

It was almost as if I was descending into a lake. I had to face my decided destiny. With what I had chosen in my last weeks or so of my life, I completely regret it. If I hadn't become a Puella Magi, then my blissful paradise would still be here to greet me every day. It's a shame that I can't go back in time and change my horrible fate.

My heartbeat began to become slower and slower by the minute. Sooner or later, I would be nothing more than a monster. I'll just be some sort of beast, waiting for some other Puella Magi to come along and end my suffering. When will that happen, though? When will I be freed from these chains? WHO will free me from this eternal dungeon that I've been held captive in?

My vision began to fade. The White Light that I had been following all of my life was almost invisible. This is it. It's the end for me. I closed my eyes very slowly. I'll face my destiny, right here and now.

"Don't worry..."

I quickly opened my eyes. I saw something blurry out in the distance, right in front of me. When it finally came into view, a feeling of warmth came over me like a blanket.

Someone was reaching out to me.

"Don't worry...I'll be with you...Sayaka..."

The mysterious figure finally came into view. Seeing her again, I smiled, tears flowing, almost as if it was a reflex. Is this what it means to be happy? Is this what it means to be loved? I didn't think that anyone would come this far, just for me.

I could feel the chains around me being lifted. As she came into view, I could finally reach her hand. I held onto her hand, almost as if for dear life. She pulled me closer to her, into a hug.

"It...sucks being alone...doesn't it...?"

I couldn't believe it. I was pulled out of the darkness and into the light yet again. I've been saved. What is this? Have I finally found the one? In time, I'll figure that one out. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy my blissful paradise returning to me. I leaned on the girl, nodding and smiling.

"Yeah...it sure does...Kyoko..."
