A/N: Needed to write something a little less fluffy.
"How did you get that scar?"
Nero was, undoubtedly, the most curious person I had ever met. So why should I be surprised that he asks me a question while I'm undressing him?
I sigh, exasperated. "How is it that you always have a question just before sex? Are you...nervous or something? We can wait a little longer, I don't have a problem with that, you don't have to make excuses, you know."
"I'm not nervous!"
"Then why is there always a question?" I asked, laying beside him.
"They're reasonable questions!"
"Okay, the first time, it was reasonable," I said, playfully. "'Will it hurt that much?' Totally reasonable question! Relative and everything! But it's like six times later now and 'How did you get that scar?' not a valid question. Is it because I couldn't answer you the first time? I can do it first and give you an answer, I don't see being on bottom detrimental to my masculinity."
"Look, tell me about the scar and I'll never ask you a question when we're getting intimate again. And you can do whatever you want with me. Promise."
"Alright. Just...no more questions, you curious little bastard," I laughed.
"I said I promise! And don't call me a bastard..."
"Okay, okay. So, remember how Lady told you about the Temin ne Gru incident, right?"
"Yeah."
"Well, Vergil was my brother."
"He was your brother?"
"Do you want to hear the story, or not?"
"Sorry, go on."
"So, Vergil, the bad guy, was my twin brother. And, well...I guess you could say he had a really fucked up way of saying 'I love you.' I reached for him when he jumped, but he cut my hand, so I wouldn't go down with him. Well, he might just be a sadistic fucker, but I like to think the former."
"So, why did it scar?" he asked, confused.
"Well, I let it. You can choose what scars and what doesn't if you've got demon blood. It's like his parting gift to me. It's the last thing I have left of him."
"I'm sorry, Dante..."
"Don't be sorry, I'll be back in an hour, and you'll let me do whatever I want as an apology for this little interruption." I winked.
