"Yeah. Our prime suspect confessed after Brass and I questioned him for half an hour." Greg said, staring at the locker room floor.
"That's pretty fast. I love it when they have a guilty conscience." Sara replied, grinning at the blonde.
Greg nodded in agreement but didn't meet Sara's gaze.
"Uh, Greg, are you okay?" Sara asked, turning to face him completely.
"Fine! I'm fine." Greg answered hastily. He leaned forward and shuffled in his locker, finally finding his jacket and stuffing it into his bag.
"It there a reason you're avoiding making eye contact with me? Is it because I saw your shirtless this morning? Because honestly, I've seen Nick and Warrick shirtless all the time – they didn't seem to mind. I never thought I'd need to, you know, ask if anyone was changing before I walked in." Sara apologized.
"No, that's not it," Greg replied. "I know you liked it, it's okay." He laughed.
"Then what's wrong? Why can't you look at me?"
"I'm a little – embarrassed."
"Of what?"
"This!" Greg said, sitting up and looking at Sara, who only laughed.
Greg had a huge mass of toilet paper stuffed up his right nostril.
"What in the hell happened?" Sara said, sitting down next to the blonde.
"Uhm, the suspect got a little out of hand and the uniform had stepped out, so I stepped up and ended up with a bloody nose."
"Oh," Sara said, holding back giggles. "I'm s-sorry."
"It's fine. Go ahead and laugh. Because me trying to subdue a suspect is so funny." Greg snarled.
"Aww, Greg, I think you're just the bravest guy I know!" Sara mocked.
"Fine. See if I ever come to your rescue if a suspect gets out of hand. Never again! Not if this is the thanks I get." Greg huffed, pulling a jacket out of his locker and slipping it on, then grabbing his bag and making his way towards the door.
"Come on, tough guy. Will you feel better if I buy you breakfast?" Sara asked, hurrying to catch up with him.
"Yes," Greg replied. "Thanks." He said, smiling at Sara.
"One condition," Sara said.
"What?" Greg replied.
"You have to take that thing out of your nose!" Sara giggled.
