You took my hand, you let me see
A word; an impossibility
You let me go beyond the sky,
We flew the stars, both you and I…
You take the monsters from this place,
Me and you in outer space,
You were there when trouble was near –
And I was with you, never fear.
The days, they pass like seasons go,
A place of darkness; a world of snow;
But you were there, my shining light,
A place of shelter amidst the night.
Who would've thought someone like me,
Could look upon this and never flee;
Could hold my hand out to a stranger,
And work to rid the world of danger?
Because that's what you are, my best friend;
Of which no other could comprehend;
I've seen it all; I've watched time fly;
An average girl – amazing guy.
My Doctor.
We've faced it all; it's been and gone,
That everlasting friendship – done.
As time decays so will you;
And I couldn't be sadder – it's always been true.
You know you've always been far too clever;
To say this friendship will last forever;
Because though you'll leave me and it's true,
I'll always remember a part of you.
You are the energy in a new day,
Your happy grin, your playful way –
You take the troubles away from here –
A place of happiness, everlasting cheer.
I know, and it hurts, it was never forever,
And I know we'll never be together;
In perpetuity, to light the world's greys;
So I'll be here whenever I can, always.
You will fade, I move on;
The battle's never truly won;
Time was never true, we cry;
So my friend, I'll say goodbye.
My Rose.
Author's Note: this is the Doctor as played by David Tennant, who is frankly the best Doctor ever! Anyhow, this goes into my poetry section. How I LOVE poetry
