Chapter 1: Prologue

It has been 5 years since the fight against Magneto to save Mankind.
In those five years Scott and Jean finally tied the knot, and are expecting their first child. They both continued teaching at the Institute and are active members of the X-men.
Gambit joined the X-men and quit thieving and got rather close to Rogue. Rogue finished her schooling but decided to be X-men so she is staying at the Institute.
Kitty and Bobby started dating about a year ago. Both finished their schooling but decided to train their powers more to be part of the X-men.
Colossus also known as Peter is continuing his training as an X-men and is also a helper at the institute. In the past 5 years he takes annual trips to his home land Russia. On his last trip he brought back another mutant and also now his girlfriend.
Wolverine has decided to stay at the institute to help train certain students but to also keep everyone day interesting with his jokes about Scott.
Overall everyone is still staying at the institute or staying in touch. Professor Xavier has opened the institute for some Heroes also seeing as the X-men are heroes too.
