Mkay. So, this is my first attempt at this kind of fanfic, so ignore the probable OOCs you will encounter. I've had this lot stuck in my head since last night (it prevented me from sleeping! :O), so I decided to write it out! I imagine this taking place...maybe a month or two after Ciel got his contract?
And to think this all started with a cup of tea.
All Sebastian had done was enter his Bocchan's study, placed said tea on the table and had suggested that the master might retire for the evening; it was 10:30 at night, after all, and someone of his age should not stay up so late.
For some reason, Ciel had reacted vehemently and had denied his need for rest, despite yawning halfway through announcing this fact. He had left the room before Sebastian could react, unusual in itself, and this was how the demon had ended up in his current situation: trying to find the young master. Preferably before midnight.
Of course, he could easily end the matter there and then, but Sebastian wanted Ciel to think that he'd won. Until the demon showed up and took him to bed. This thought brought a faint smirk to the butler's lips as he continued down the long corridor.
A loud shattering sound came from behind the door that Sebastian was just passing, followed by a soft curse. The door was unlocked, and the demon opened it and saw Ciel on a cupboard, with several smashed statues on the ground.
"How," Sebastian gazed up at the defiant child, "did you get up there, Bocchan?"
"None of your.." Ciel yawned, "...business! I'm staying up here! I'm not going to bed!"
"And why not?"
"...Because I'm not tired," was Ciel's response, and he yawned again.
"Clearly," Sebastian reached up and took the young child from the cupboard and exited the room, ignoring Ciel's protests.
"Let me go! I am not tired!" Ciel struggled uselessly against the demon's grip, "I am..." he yawned, "...not going to bed!"
By the time both demon and child had arrived at the bedroom, Ciel had stopped struggling as much; as he was put down on the bed, he made to get up again, but was held down by Sebastian.
"Ah, no, Bocchan," he shook his head, "You're not escaping again."
Hoping to avoid another break-free attempt, Ciel was undressed and redressed hurriedly and placed on the bed in the space of several seconds. With the covers pulled up to his chin, Ciel gave his butler a sleepy glare, one of the most least threatening things that Sebastian had ever seen. Picking up the candelabra with one hand and crossing his free arm over his chest, Sebastian bowed.
"Rest well, Bocchan," he said, and he smirked faintly when he heard the snores coming from the bed. Not tired...clearly.
He watched his master for a few seconds, before blowing out the candelabra and quietly exiting the room.
Well, it's not very long, I know...but I can't write long fanfics for some reason! Again, sorry if it's OOC. Yes, it's not very good, I think, but it's what happens when I read like 20 fanfictions and can't get to sleep!
