First story, constructive criticism is welcome.

Everything is so obvious when she's around. He doesn't even need to think about what to say, or what to do. It just happens on its own. He wishes she was here now. But weddings weren't her style, she said. So Finn dances and cracks jokes and tries to not be awkward. He hopes it will end soon, and Jake and Lady will fly off into the sunset and he can go home. She said she would wait for him there, and maybe (with a wink) they could do fun stuff, if he felt like it.

He doesn't know if he feels like it. He doesn't know how he feels about her, or anything, really. It's like when he's with her, he's sure of everything. It's black and white, though not ever actually defined as such. It's never spoken aloud, really, just felt and demonstrated accordingly. But when she's not with him, he gets a weird feeling in his stomach and everything turns into shades of grey and suddenly he's not so sure, and he wants her to be there so he can know. He'll talk to her about it when this is over. If it ever ends, that is.

And finally, the reception does end. Finn says obligatory goodbyes to everyone (except LSP and Brad, who were...busy) before heading home. When he arrives, she's there as she said she would be, floating above his couch and playing with BMO. He's not quite sure what they do when he isn't around, but he doesn't think he wants to know either. All she offers him is a "Hey" and a brief nod before returning her attention to the video game. Finn understands; she'll talk when she finishes the level. He lies down on the couch underneath her to wait, and possibly also to stare at her buns. And then, just maybe, to reach up and give them a poke, just for fun. She whips around, dropping BMO, and morphs to hiss right in his face. And then, without missing a beat, she changes back to herself and drops onto his stomach with a thump. Finn smiles and almost pulls her in for a kiss before he remembers what he wanted her attention for.

"Marcy?" He asks rather tentatively.

"Whatcha need, hero?"

He takes a huge breath and speaks.
"We need to talk about, um, us, and, like, what we are, uh, if we are anything, that is, and it's just that sometimes I don't really know how I feel about you because when I'm with you everything is mathematical but whenever you're gone my stomach feels weird and I think about you a lot but I get confused about what I think and I worry that maybe you're just messing with me and -mmph!"
She claps a hand over his mouth to stop his babbling.
"Finn, chill, ya weenie. What you're feeling when I'm gone is called missing me. You wish I was there, right?"

He nods, and she smiles. "That's a good thing. And it's cute, in a weenie-ish kind of way. As for the not being sure of our status..." She takes a hold of the ears on his hat, leans in close to his face, and looks him dead in the eye.

"Listen close, hero boy, I'm only going to say this once, and I want you to cherish it. I like you. A LOT. Love you, even. Like, almost Tier 15 kind of love. And I will kick your 17-year-old ass all the way to Aaa if you make me say it again."

He looks visibly shaken. He loves her, of course, but he didn't think she felt the same. He thought she hung with him because he was fun, and when they kissed, it was just another form of entertainment for her, even though it meant the world to him. Knowing that she feels the same...Finn almost can't keep himself from just pulling her close and kissing the stuff out of her. But he holds back long enough to say "I...love you too. Tier 15 for sure. Beyond, if that's possible."

AN: I feel like I make Finn too serious. Anyways, please review and tell me what you thought.
