"HARRY JAMES POTTER!" Harry winced. Now what have I done? He quickly stood up from the kitchen table, set down his newspaper, and walked towards where he heard Ginny's voice.

"Gin—" He was cut off by the fact that he was being lifted into the air and was now hanging by his ankle. He stuffed his hand into his pocket quickly to make sure what was in there didn't fall out. Ginny was seething. "What's wrong?" he asked her.

"What's wrong?" she repeated. "What's wrong? Harry Potter, are you ever going to ask me to marry you?"

Harry was dumbfounded. "Er, what?"

"Is that a no?" Ginny was yelling.

"No!"

"No? You're not?" Ginny looked as if she might begin to cry. Harry decided he'd much rather have her yelling at him.

"No!—I mean yes—I mean… Did something happen?"

Ginny sighed. "I just need to know. Do you or do you not want to marry me?" she said quietly.

"Of course I do! Why are you acting like this?" Harry asked with one hand still stuffed in his pocket. He could feel the blood rushing to his head.

Ginny ignored his question. "So you were planning on asking me?"

"Yes—"

"When?" she demanded.

"Why is this suddenly so important to you?"

"Because I refuse to have a child while I'm not married!"

"Well then we won't have any children until we're married, ok?"

"It's a little late to be deciding that now," she muttered.

"Wait, are you saying… you're not, are you… pregnant?" the last word came out as a whisper.

"Yes," she sighed. Harry felt a very large grin take residence on his face.

"Gin, let me down," he said gently.

"Why?" she shot.

"Well, I can't very well get down on one knee if I'm hanging upside down, can I?"

Ginny glare didn't falter, but Harry thought he could see her wand drop a fraction of an inch. "What?"

Harry chuckled. "I've had the ring for a week now. I was going to ask you tonight." He pulled his hand out of his pocket, bringing with it a small square box.

"Oh," Ginny said quietly as she brought her wand to her side, letting Harry fall to the floor. He sat up and blinked a few times to clear his vision before standing up and closing the distance between the two of them. When he reached her, she put her wand in her pocket and Harry took both of her hands in his.

"Ginny Weasley, I love you more than anything. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He then sank down to one knee and took out the box that he had returned to his pocket. He opened it and Ginny gasped, taking the ring from the box.

"YES!" Ginny shouted.

"You didn't even let me ask!"

Ginny flushed slightly, grinning. "Sorry," she said sheepishly.

Harry nodded and cleared his throat. "Will you marry me?"

"Hmm…" Ginny seemed to contemplate the matter, tapping her left index finger against her chin although the ring was already on her third finger of the same hand. "I suppose."

Harry chuckled and stood up before putting his arms around his fiancé. "So," he whispered. "You're really pregnant?"

Ginny took her eyes away from the beautiful ring that rested on her finger to look up at him. "Would you be upset if I said no?" She was grinning.

Harry's jaw dropped and his mouth formed an 'O'. "You've got to be kidding me."

Ginny laughed. "Yes, I'm really pregnant." Ginny smiled as she saw the expression on Harry's face. His eyes were bright with joy, while he also seemed somewhat fearful. She took one of his hands and placed it on her belly. "Harry," she whispered. "We're going to be parents." Harry grinned and kissed her full on the mouth. He'd never been so happy in his life.
