It was the second day of Alan staying in the infirmary and his brothers were starting to worry.

Scott was pacing by the window of the lounge, much to the annoyance of Virgi.

"Scott, I know you're worried about Alan. But for crying out loud, sit down!" Virgil eventually snapped. Gordon nearly jumped out of his skin. Stunned by his brother's sudden yell, Scott sat down on the sofa.

"I don't know what's gotten into him. I've never seen him like this before." the eldest tried to explain.

"I have," Virgil admitted quietly, "it was when you fell out of that tree and got a concussion yourself. You were out cold for hours. Alan was only about 5 at the time. Remember?"

"I remember falling, but I don't know what happened after."

"Alan refused to leave your side until you woke up. Dad had to take him into the x-ray room so he'd stop crying. Poor kid didn't understand. I guess seeing her like that made the memories surface again. Trust me, I've seen this before. All you can do is wait. She'll wake up and Alan will be fine. You'll see."

Scott sighed and turned to look out the window. "I didn't know the accident affected him like that. Why didn't you guys tell me."

"Frankly Scott, you had more important things to worry about. Just leave him, OK?"

"I guess you're right."

"Well on that note, I'm going to bed." Gordon announced before standing up and leaving for his room.

As he headed off, he tripped and fell to the floor. The other two brothers started to laugh as Gordon got back to his feet and left, muttering something about uneven flooring under his breath.

A/N

Someone pointed out that I left Virgil out so I just wrote a quick section to include him. Don't worry though, he'll come later.
