Buffy Summers was still coming off her transcontinential high when she walked into Wolfram and heart. She was going to see how Angel was faring after their almost apocalypse up in Sunnydale. This lawfirm was huge, and she was lost almost immediately. She found someone who looked human enough and asked where Angel was. They told her that the boss was on the fifth floor, and that the elevator was just down the hall. She walked slowly, taking in all that was Wolfram and Heart. From the stories she had heard in the past few years, it was an evil place, but it didn't seem that evil; maybe Angel really changed things around there.
She took the elevator up to the fifth floor and saw that there was a large desk outside of what appeared to be Angel's office. The secretary at the desk seemed rather familiar. "Buffy!" the woman shouted. When she got up from her desk and came around to hug Buffy, Buffy instantly knew where she remembered this girl from. Harmony, the girl she had graduated with and knows that she is a vampire. Angel must trust her enough to let her work here.
"Hey, Harmony," Buffy returned politely. "Is Angel in?"
"Yeah," she said, pulling away from the slayer. "Just go on in."
Buffy smiled at her and walked into the office. Angel was standing in front of his desk, talking to someone with his back to her. "Angel?"
He turned immediately. "Buffy?" A big smile broke out over his face and he walked quickly over to her, picking her up in a big hug and spinning her around. "It's good to see you."
"It's good to see you too," she replied, her eyes closed. When she opened her eyes, Buffy saw someone she never thought she would see again.
"Spike?" she questioned softly.
"You're eyes aren't lying, love," he said, rising from his seat behind Angel's desk.
Angel set her down and watched her walk over to his 'child' and gave him a big smack across the face.
"OW! What was that for?" Spike asked, but before he could get an answer, Buffy threw herself at him, kissing him full on the mouth. He wasn't sure what to do at the time, but when Buffy didn't stop kissing him, he went along with it. Angel stared at the couple, gawking at the site, slightly repulsed by the site.
They broke apart and Buffy hugged tightly to Spike's side. "I thought you died, left me," she whispered into his chest.
"Well it was quite a shock to me when I ended up here, popped up out of that gem that you gave me," Spike replied, holding her close and stroking her hair.
"I can't believe you're alive," she said. But after a moment she pushed away from him. "Why didn't you let me know that you were alive? Either one of you?"
"Well," Angel started, but Spike held up a hand to stop him.
"We didn't know if it was going to be permanent," he began. "Didn't want you to see me die again."
Buffy smacked his chest again before going in for a second hug. Angel stood there, shaking his head at the strangely violent couple; never understanding what was going on between the two of them.
