This is just some random idea that came to me.
Graduation day. That was how it all started. That was when Team Fourth was formed. There were four. Uchiha Obito, Rin, Hatake Kakashi and the future Yondaime.
7 years later, Obito died, sacrificing himself for Kakashi.
Kakashi was shoved to the side. There was a huge rumble as the rocks crashed to the ground. When the dust settled, there was Obito, crushed under the attack meant for Kakashi.
Kakashi wished he had been faster. Then there were 3.
After Rin disappeared, there were only 2.
He watched her slowly retreating back. She said it was a long term mission, but she should be back in about a month. First one month, then two then three months passed, but she still didn't return. A search party went out, but there was still no sign. It was as if she had never existed.
Kakashi wished they found something, even a body. Something that would tell them what happened.
After the Kyubi attacked, there was only one teammate left.
He watched, helpless, as his sensei completed the final hand sign. He could only stare as his beloved teacher's lifeless body tumbled off of Gamabunta.
Kakashi wished his sensei hadn't sacrificed himself. Maybe it was selfish of him, but he doesn't care.
Kakashi grew into someone that the rest of Team Fourth could be proud of. He tought his own team, Team Seven. Uzumaki Naruto, Sasuke Uchiha, Haruno Sakura.
When he first saw them, he was shocked. Sasuke was like him and looked like Obito, Naruto looked like sensei and acted like Obito and Sakura acted like Rin. When he tested them, he was disapointed. Sasuke was too obsessed with his brother, Naruto's only good point was that he was determined and Sakura was more airheaded then Rin ever was. He was going to fail them, but something stopped him. He decided to give them one more chance, and when he saw them both feed Naruto, he thought that maybe this team wouldn't be all that bad.
Kakashi did all he can to prevent what happened to him from happening to them, to shield them from death for just a little while longer.
He failed.
Team 7 broke apart. Sasuke joined Orochimaru, and Kakashi no longer taught Naruto and Sakura. But to him they're still his team, Team 7.
Then, Kakashi died. He died the death he wanted to, the same as Obito. He saved his teammate from death.
He shoved Gai to the side, blocking the swordblow that would have ended the Green Beast's life. As he took his last breaths, he could have sworn that he saw Team 4. Obito was waving, Rin was smiling shyly and Sensei was ginning. Team 4 was finally reunited.
And then there were none.
