A/N: This is a one shot based on the song Kagerou Days from Kagepro. I'm not the best writer, I know, but I tried my best.
It was the first day in summer. It was like normal days, not too hot and not too cool. Kenny and I were sitting in the park- not that it matters, anyways. I was just bored. Kenny came up and sat by me-
Flashbacks. I had a flashback. Kenny died. Here, in the park. It couldn't have been, that was only a dream...Or, was it? I don't even remember; at that time, Kenny sees Kyle and Stan across the street. He goes to them. Just as he was crossing the street, the walk sign turned red. A truck came speeding by. No, no, this can't be happening, this was only a dream- My thoughts were cut off by a piercing scream. Kenny had gotten hit by the truck. Blood was sprayed on my clothes. I start to cry. Not Kenny, please, kill me, not Kenny, please.. I thought. I was crying. Then.. this.. thing appeared in front of me. it was laughing as I cried. "This is all real." It says, then waves, an it goes black..
I wake up in my bed. What the fuck? I was at the park.. oh god. Kenny. I think, standing up, and running to the park. Kenny is sitting on the bench. "Good morning, Tweekers." he says. i sigh in relief. "Good morning." I say. I see Stan and Kyle. they're waving and calling for Kenny. I grab his arm. "lets just go to my dad's coffee shop.." I say. He looks back at them, then to me again. He nods. We walk, but we hear a scream. Kenny pushes forward..As long rods shoot down, stabbing Kenny right in his gut. I scream. The thing appears again. "Bet you wish you were asleep, but its not a dream!" It says, smiling. it looks like..Did Kenny smile too? I don't know, and it faded to black again.
Really, what the fuck is going on? I don't understand, I don't care anymore. I run to the park, grab Kenny, and start running. I slip on the ice of Starks pond, ending up letting go of Kenny. He hits his head on the ice.
This has been going on for who knows how long. Its so long that I keep having to watch him die over and over. I'm getting so tired of this. I've decided to stop it. Kenny is at the park, like normal. I go there. we see Stan and Kyle waiting. He starts going to them. I grab him and pull him back. I go in front of the oncoming truck. I hear Kenny crying. I hear an ambulance...then everything goes black.
Kenny wakes up in bed, crying. "I failed again." He says, then another one of those things appears.
