"Mom, I'm fine living up in the castle library. Why do I have to go to Ponyville?" the young alicorn, Twilight Sparkle, asked her mother. "I believe this will be a good experience for, Twilight. Give it a chance, please?" Celestial replied to her daughter. "OK, let my pack up my..." "Wait just a moment." Luna said as she rendered the corridors. "If you're going to Ponyville, you're not going to parade around with your wings exposed. Nopony knows my sister had a daughter, and now's not the time to announce it." "My sister's right, you need to use a disguise spell so nopony knows there's a third alicorn princess." Celestia added agreeably.

As Twilight awaited her arrival to Ponyville, she spoke with her assistant, Spike, about her troubles. "I can't believe she made me hide my wings. She has to announce my alicornhood sooner or later." Twilight whined. "Don't worry Twilight. Just do your best in Ponyville and show her that she should recognize your princesshood." "You know what Spike, you're right. I should show her I deserve my coronation." The two were silent until their arrival in Ponyville.

"I just don't understand why I need to make friends. A princ...pony like me would get plenty of love from her subjects." Twilight soon bumped into Pinkie Pie. "Hello my name is..." Pinkie gasped before Twilight could complete her introduction. "See? These ponies think I'm a freak or something!" Twilight added angrily. "I'm sure that's not it. They'll probably excited to see a new face." Spike added, trying to comfort her. Twilight ran into several other ponies while helping her mother and aunt prepare for the Summer Sun Celebration. To her surprise, an old foe, Nightmare Moon, returned the night before the Summer Sun Celebration. The young princess was unaware of another alicorn, especially an antagonist. She was allowing friendship to enter her soul, helping her relinquish this mysterious alicorn.

Celestia first assumed the alicorn of darkness was her sister gone mad, but soon found out her own mother had lost it. The maisma had caused her mother's mane to appear to be similar to Princess Luna's. Her sister entered the room after the banishment of Nightmare Moon, sending Celestial into a shock. "Luna? Sissy, is that you?" The sisters were rising to power, so they were both adolescents at this point. "Of course it's me Celestia, don't be such a foal." "But you just...wait what?" "I was just getting ready for the moonrise, what were you doing?" "Battling an..." "Girls, have you seen your mother?" Their father, Cosmo, asked. "No, I did just...oh my god, I just banished mom to the moon!" "What was going on in here?" "Battling my corrupted mother, you know, the usual." Celestia replied sarcastically. "Nopony likes sarcasm, Celestia." Cosmo added. After a little grieving, the royal family returned to their usual tasks. Celestia rose the sun at dawn, as Luna continued to learn how to summon the moon at dusk. Their father soon returned to the galaxy to help his significant other recover from her possession. A thousand years later, Celestia found herself pregnant with a baby girl, Cadence. Celestia wasn't going to stop there. After a decade of trying, Celestia had a second child, Twilight Sparkle. Since she shared the throne with her sister, they would choose weither one of them would become queen, or weighed they'd rule side by side as princesses. Celestia and Luna didn't have much time left, so the two needed to make a decision. They had been speaking about the matter for quite some time now, and had come to an agreement. The two had concluded that Cadence would be the main ruler of Equestria, as Twilight didn't find royal business appealing. She was still permitted to return to the throne if she desired, but it was unlikely.
