Chapter one

The Call

Red lights illuminated the TARDIS as it steered itself to Gallifrey. Red, It's a distress call, The Doctor thought. Half knocked out and half conscious, he turned off the time engine, a second too late. He unlocked the TARDIS door and gazed at Gallifrey.

"Doctor! The council of Timelords requests your presence," a ragged lady explained.

"So they just forced my TARDIS to Gallifrey? My TARDIS! I was half a billion light years away! I mean-" the Doctor was cut off.

"Doctor! Stop delaying! There are worries of a Time war! With Daleks! You know the most about them! You've even been to Skaro! Please Doctor!"

He was led to the middle of the Citadel, where the court was mounted. With hesitation, he walked in.

"Rassilon! You redecorated! I don't like it," the Doctor said.

"Doctor! Haven't changed at all! Still stubborn I see," Rassilon snaked.

The Doctor glared at him, while shining an apple on his shirt.

"Well then, the Daleks. Live on Skaro, embodied in a machine, the creator is Davros, what else do you need to know?" the Doctor asked.

"What are their defenses, weapons, strengths and weaknesses?" Rassilon asked with a concerned tone.

"They have an arm called the sucker cup, it can manipulate and be used as a weapon. It produces an incredibly powerful vacuum. The left arm, the one I like to call the exterminator, emits a laser beam that can harm or kill mostly any living creature. It will be incredibly hard to beat them if they wage a war," the Doctor explains feeling very important.

"All right, thank you Doctor. Minister, get the Timelords ready! We will attack first!" Rassilon said pointing a fist to the direction of Skaro.

The minister bowed while exiting. The Doctor left the court as well. He looked at the burning orange skies. Gallifrey was so beautiful, but all of this was going to change after this war. He just knew it. A citizen scurried into the counsel room, followed by the Doctor.

"President! The Master has arrived,"

"Marvelous! Call him in!"

The Master was brought before Rassilon. Bowing he said, "Father. It's been a long time. I bring horrific news sire," the Master says.

"What is it? Tell me!" Rassilon demanded.

"Sire, we were too late. It has begun. All of the Timelords were ready, luckily. The Time War has begun. The Daleks are attacking,"
