A/N. This is kinda old… I felt like randomly uploading it just to share it. As usual, I don't own vocaloid or anything big or expensive.

Rin stood quietly on the edge of the shoreline, facing the ocean. Her heart was in shambles and her hair was a mess. The small waves rushing up to her feet did nothing to relieve the pain she felt inside. Church bells rang in her ears as she recalled the events of the past few hours.

"Len, no! You can't do this! You can't. You just can't…"

"Rin, I love you too much to not be able to do this. I'm really sorry…"

Len quickly turned around, tears forming in his eyes. Before running out of the room, he summoned all of the strength in his soul and whispered, "I love you."

That was the last Rin had seen of him before his execution.

She stared off into the distance, thinking. Thinking about Len, about herself, about the meaning of life… everything just seemed so unbearable right now. Why did this have to happen to her? What purpose did it have? To destroy her soul?

She thought again about the church bells. As they had cursed her into this life, so they took Len out. Why did they seem so evil? Every time Rin had gazed at them, an unknown, uncomfortable aura touched her inside; she never quite understood it.

Until now.

Suddenly, as if an angel decided to bless her broken soul, Rin felt a warm feeling of wholeness inside. She had no idea where it was coming form or what its presence meant. Feeling relieved for a moment, she looked out into the ocean to find a new gazing spot. The sight was breathtaking.

Out in the horizon, very faintly, she could make out Len's face. He looked so peaceful, so happy, and so perfect. It was as if he was trying to make her feel it too.

"I love you," his voice rang like a harp's strings.

Rin choked up, barely being able to say, "I love you," back. Once she finally managed, he smiled.

"Let's play together again one day, hm?" He spoke before fading into the horizon.

Rin nodded. Suddenly, she didn't feel so lonely anymore. She felt perfect, whole, and most importantly, loved.
