Hey Maddy, we need to go otg outside for a couple of days to gather supplies and take more notice of things, maybe if your parents are okay you can go with... asked Malcom.
Oh my goodness, ofcourse I'll go with you, just let me ask my parents and see if they will let me go. Said Maddie excitedly...
At dinner at the Shannon house...
It was all quiet until Maddy spoke up...
Dad Mom, I was at the lab earlier talking to Malcom and he said him and a bunch of other scientists were going otg to gather some supplies and gather knowledge and he invited me. Please let me go, I promise you I will be safe. There will be like 15 guards watching over us.
Absouly not! said Jim mad.
Jim! Think about it, she is safe with guards also she is helping the colony and us out. How long is the trip sweetie? asked Elizabeth?
Well it depends, it might just be a couple hours till two weeks. said Maddy.
Jim, it be good for her. Also she needs a break.

I cant promise that dad. She said as she put her head down in sadness.

Maddy leaves the house and go talks to Mark.
Mark maddy says.
Maddy? What are you doing here? asked Mark.
Well I know your going to find out sooner or later so I know your going to be mad at me but just listen. said Maddy.
Well I am going otg for some supplies and to gather knowledge.
What! Otg? Maddy you know how dangerious that is? I cant allow you.
Mark I am going. I know you dont want me to but its not your decision, Maddy says mad and walks away.
The next day for the trip...
I have to go mom. Trying to get away from her familys goodbyes.

At the gate. Maddy is getting in to her rover when Mark comes.
Maddy? said Mark
What? You know you cant stop me so what do you need?
