He was meditating by the pond in the middle of the palace's yard. The turtle-ducks swam side by side hoping the kind boy would give them bread as he usually did when he came. The boy knew they were there but continued to sit quietly, and meditate a bit longer. After a few more minutes of silence he smiled for he had scenced another's presence. "Hey Aang. What's up?" Katara from the southern watertribe asked. Aang opened his eyes, "Not much. . . just thinking, about an important decision . . ." Katara leaned in, "You can tell me Aang. If you want it to be between just us then I won't tell anyone I promise!" Aang smiled then asked, "No matter how big you make it out to be, or how badly you want to tell someone?" Katara nodded so Aang replied, " Ever since Ozai was defeated I've wanted to be able to be a kid. Well today would be the day I am 13 years old. and for the munks that was the year when you needed to grow up a bit faster and you gained more responcibilities, and I know it'll sound funny to you but we got to go meet other airbender girls. And some started courting. Well, what do you think? Should I go with my heritage and start acting like a grown up or act like a kid for just one more year?" Katara sighed, "That's a toughy. . . .I think you acted like a grownup last year and with your being the avatar you basically wiped out a year to hang out with your friends so in my mind I see you as 11 and 15 all at once. I think you don't have to grow up anymore than you already have. I mean you acted like you were at least twenty when you defeated Ozai and technically your just turning 113 years old. So just have fun this was a tough year and you deserve a break especially since Ozai was defeated just last month."but I wouldn't mind the dationg thing so much. . . Katara thought as Aang nodded, "Thanks Katara. Oh and since I get to be a kid for one more year. . ." he raised his hand so he was controlling the water in her pouch, "I say. . . think fast!" he raised the water from her pouch and splashed her with it. "You are dead meat!" Katara yelled playfully as Aang ran away. "VEGITARTIAN!" he yelled back. "okay dead vegtable then!"Katara replied sarcastically.
"See I told you, Sokka. They like each other!" Suki said as her Sokka, Toph, Zuko and Mai all hid behind a bush. "I could've seen that much and I'm blind!" Toph added. "She's right, Sokka. Didn't you tease Aang about that, when I was chasing you?" Zuko asked. "YEAH BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS A JOKE HOW WOULD I KNOW HE REALLY DID HAVE A CRUSH ON MY SISTER!" Sokka practically screamed. "Wow, I didn't know that twinkle toes could flirt so well." Toph said quietly. "Ah, young love. If I weren't squished up to the SCREAMING WATER TRIBE PUNK I might smile." Mai yelled. everyone simply laughed and it didn't help when Mai looked at them as if they were all giant turle-ducks and said, "I'm not joking."
