Notes: I don't own these characters. Just a short idea I had and wanted to get it out. More of a drabble than a story.

Selfie

"Do you need that many selfies?" The question was said along with a sigh.

That was the tenth one in the last half an hour. Julius had been sitting on his own side of the table, watching Rideaux change his position and snap pictures with his phone nearly the entire time they were there. The lunch they had decided on was sitting between them, ignored for the most part.

"Of course. It needs to be just right. How else will people-"

"get to see how gorgeous you are. Yes, I know." Julius paused before continuing his thought. "Look, I understand why you..."

Changing his position and snapping another picture, Rideaux made it clear that he wasn't listening.

"Rideaux, will you pay attention?"

"You don't like how many selfies I take. I've heard it a hundred times by now, Julius."

"Now really isn't the time for them. The catalyst could show-"

"itself at any given moment. I know, Julius." Rideaux rolled his eyes and set the phone down. "It was your idea to take a break."

"You were the one complaining." Julius frowned as Rideaux pushed the rest of his cheeseburger toward him. "I'm not finishing your food, Rideaux."

Rideaux shrugged and stood. "It's your money."

As he walked around the table, Rideaux grabbed the phone and flipped it open again. Julius watched him, grumbling in mild protest when the other man draped himself over the low back of the seat and onto his shoulders. Chin resting on Julius's left shoulder, Rideaux spoke again.

"This is the most time we've spent together in months." Lifting the phone, he angled it just right and smiled. "We need a picture to remember this by."

There really was no stopping Rideaux, so Julius just looked at the phone and waited as Rideaux snapped the picture.
