Suddenly I heard a noise behind me. I raised my 9mm, my heart hammering inside my ribs painfully. Was it one of those monsters again? It certainly was, the pestilence of rotten meat was insupportable. I heard that particular hungry and pitiful moan of the zombie that was after my flesh and blood. I turned around just in time to see the shadow of it on the wall, its putrefacted hands coming out of the corner.
I was petrified, I couldn't move an inch…I could only mutter a barely audible 'Lady Luck, I love you too'. I took few steps back, horrified when I saw another zombie next to the previous one. I was about to vomit, the smell was deadly. Finally I got some strength to aim at their heads, their only vulnerable part and pressed the trigger.

I was about to claim victory but the sound of a broken glass and a sudden push at my back could only indicate that a zombified dog entered the house. It was fast and I was on the floor. It was my end, I knew it… but suddenly there was a gunshot and the dog was finally dead. I turned back and saw my savior.
"Captain Wesker…!"
"Glad to see you alive, Chris."
A/N: This was a composition for my FCE preparatory exam, so, it's an One-Shot and I won't continue it… mostly because I'm not the nº1 at English, it's the first time I write something like this in that language and please, don't kill me~. Reviews are appreciated! ;)
