Prongs, my dearest friend!
It is so wonderful to see you!
I've missed you so,
These fifteen long years.
It seems impossible that I should be here.
But I am here,
Reunited with my best friend.

James, my friend,
Harry is just like you.
He misses you and Lily so.
He has our knack for trouble,
And his mother's eyes.
Everyone says he looks just like you, and he does,
Except for the eyes; those are Lily's.

I'm sorry I couldn't watch over him better,
Or be with him longer.
I wish he could have lived with me.
He was like a son to me.
I truly regret never telling him
How much he means to me,
How much I love him.

I wish I could've been there,
All those years when I wasn't.
All those years I missed you.
But you are here with me.
We'll make up the time we've lost.
Harry and Remus will be with us soon,
And we'll all be together again.
