Merlin: hey great dragon I'm seventeen years old, I am not a boy. Just how many times am I going to save Arthur's life this year? I deserve to be called a man.

Kilgharrah: You are not destined to be a man just yet young Warlock, you like all others shall live and learn.

Merlin: great another bloody riddle. When have you ever not given me an answer in the form of a riddle?

Season Two

Kilgharrah: In a land of myth and a time of magic the destiny of a great kingdom rests on the shoulders of a young boy his name, Merlin.

Merlin: Boy? Boy? I mastered the powers of life and death and you, you great cryptic lizard still call me boy? I saved Camelot at least half a dozen times last year and will probably do the same this year. When can I be called a Man?

Kilgharrah: When you know the answer to that question young Warlock you shall no longer half to ask.

Merlin: …. You really don't like me do you?

Kilgharrah: I am on the side of destiny, what I feel has nothing to do with fate.

Season Three

Kilgharrah: In a land of myth and a time of magic the destiny of a great kingdom rests on the shoulders of a young boy his name, Merlin.

Merlin: I spent an entire year saving Arthur and thinking about your stupid riddle. Guess what I decided, there is not an answer.

Kilgharrah: Young Warlock every riddle has an answer to be found.

Merlin: Would it be considered an abuse of my powers if I orderedyou to call me a Man?

Season Four

Kilgharrah: In a land of myth and a time of magic the destiny of a great kingdom rests on the shoulders of a young Man his name, Merlin.

Merlin: Finally a Man at last!

Kilgharrah: It's the least you deserve young Warlock

Merlin: the least? The times I have saved Camelot and Arthur cannot be counted and being called a man is the least I deserve?

Kilgharrah: You will receive your reward in time young Warlock.

Merlin: So when?

Season Five

Kilgharrah: In a land of myth and a time of magic the destiny of a great kingdom rests on the shoulders of a young Man his name, Merlin.

Merlin: I have failed my destiny, Morgana lives, Mordred is in Camelot, and Arthur's end is nigh. What the hell can I DO? Every time I try to help or fix my destiny I screw up. Every time I want to tell Arthur about my magic his opinions change. Everyone that I love or care about dies before me. THERE IS NOTHING THAT I CAN DO ANYMORE! DESTINY IS DEAD!

Kilgharrah: Do not despair young warlock, you shall find a way to protect Camelot from her enemies. You have always done what you believed to be right regardless of my counsel. Would you really have acted differently?

Merlin: Thanks I think, ….Wait that wasn't a riddle.
