"Everyone knows what today is?" Elliot said with a huge sly grin on his face.
"Shut up Elliot" John snarled.
"Old man you just don't wanna ice skate tonight" Fin said laughing
"Why should he have to?" Olivia said, standing up for John.
"Sticking up for you boyfriend?" Elliot teased.
"He's not my boyfriend" Olivia said taking a seat at her desk.
"I'm not her boyfriend" John pouted, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Children, children none of you are going anywhere if you guys don't go and interview the latest victim. She's at Belleview, get on it"
The detectives had gone off to solve the recent case which was rape A-Z. This was the easiest SVU case ever handed to the detectives. The women got a perfect look at her attacker…which was her boyfriend and one of his friends and they both left tons of DNA. The detectives had all finished their paper work and now it was time to skate.
John hadn't been on a pair of skates for years, since he was fourteen and now here he was an older man on a pair of skates about to tackle the ice. Usually he would never in a million years do this but Elliot and Fin had been on his case for the past couple of weeks that he just couldn't take it anymore. Tying his skates he tried getting up only to stumble and be caught by none other the Olivia Benson.
"Thanks" John said grateful that she had been there to catch him from his death.
"You know you don't have to do this?" Olivia said helping him get his balance.
"Yeah I know" was all John said before taking his first few steps towards the ice. "Will you help me?" John asked turning around to give Olivia a puppy dog look.
"Sure" Olivia said walking over to him and taking his arm helped him onto the ice. John slipped and stumbled a few times grabbing hold of Olivia tight so he wouldn't fall. An amused Elliot and Fin watched the whole thing from the opposite side of the ice. Skating towards the two at a high speed, Elliot and Fin both stopped inches away from John and Olivia, spraying ice all over the two, causing John to fall with a loud thud.
"What the hell are you guys doing?" Olivia yelled at the two.
"It's just harmless fun" Elliot said.
"You guys could have hurt him…what if he broke his back or hip or something?"
"We…"Fin started only to be cut off by Olivia
"What…we…we…we weren't thinking?" Olivia was met by silence. Fin and Elliot feeling ashamed looked down and apologized to John.
"Sorry John"
"Yeah…sorry John" and then the two skated away off the ice. Olivia bent down to help John up but was surprised when John pulled her down on top of him and kissed her and she kissed him back, finding herself wanting to deepen the kiss. When he stopped the kiss he smiled at Olivia and bringing his hand up he ran it though her hair, pushing it out of her face.
"Thanks Liv" John smiled to her again.
"Anytime John" Olivia said leaning down to kiss John.
