Chapter 1
When Tails approached his new college with all his friends chattering about, he wondered if that certain guy was there. And he was. Tails' heart raced when he saw the ivory hedgehog with golden eyes a ways ahead of them, dragging his stuff towards the door. Tails himself was a golden kitsune, born with twin tails. His birth name was Miles, but due to his tails his friends gave him the nickname Tails. He calmed himself down and kept following his friends. His friends were Sonic, a cobalt colored hedgehog who has been his best friends ever since they were little kids, Amy, a pink hedgehog that's obsessed with Sonic, Shadow, a strange ebony hedgehog that mysteriously hangs around with Sonic, Knuckles, an obnoxious red echidna that jokes around and pulls pranks on everyone, Blaze, a purple cat that is Amy's good friend and just plays along with everyone, and of course the ivory hedgehog, Silver. Silver was sort of a drifter, but he still hung around with everyone and his personality greatly matched Tails', and Tails has had a secret crush on him since a few months ago in high school. When they entered the lobby, they registered and got their dorm numbers.
Tails got dorm number 94, but he didn't know who his roommate was. When he opened the door, there were 2 beds, and one of them had bags piled onto it. 'Oh, I guess whoever my roommate is got here before me.' He thought, while tossing his bags up and onto the the bed without luggage on it. He stood up and sat on the bed, waiting for his roommate. The door creaked open and Tails heard a familiar voice. "Tails?" It said.
It was masculine sounding, so he expected Sonic. But when he turned around he saw the only person he would be nervous to have as a roommate. "Silver? Umm... So I guess we're roommates, huh?" Tails nervously said. "Yeah, I guess. I haven't unpacked my stuff yet, so I should do it now." Silver walked around Tails and started unpacking. Tails dropped down off of the bed and started unpacking as well. When they were finished unpacking, Tails suggested that
they go and look for their friends. "Yeah, OK." Silver said glancing at the clock. "Oh, it's almost noon, they're probably at the cafe or some sort of food place on the campus." Tails and Silver headed off to the cafe, finding Blaze, Amy, Sonic, and Shadow inside.
"Hey guys!" Tails said while walking towards his friends in a large booth. "Oh hey Tails! We were just hanging out here. Wanna join?" Sonic said while grinning with his signature smile. "Heh, sure I will. Silver, you wanna too?" Tails asked. "Ah, sure. I have nothing else to do I suppose."Silver replied, sitting in the big booth. "Where's Knux?" Tails asked while sitting next to Silver. "Oh him? He went to Mcdonalds. He said he didn't like fancy food. Ha!" Amy said chuckling. "If he didn't work out so much, he'd be fat." Blaze remarked. That comment made everyone laugh. "Well, we haven't ordered yet. So you guys can order if you want too." Sonic said. The whole time Blaze switched between staring at Silver and glancing away. Sonic leaned in to Silver and whispered, "Dude, I think Blaze likes you." Silver whispered back, "Yeah, she's been staring at me like, this whole time."
After they got their food and ate, they all went up to the same floor to get back to their dorms. Tails saw Blaze and Amy go to one dorm, and Sonic and Shadow go to another. 'I think this is gonna go better than I expected.' Tails thought while him and Silver walked into the dorm.
