And from South America, Ma-Ti, with the power of Heart...
When the five powers combined, they summoned Earth's greatest champion, Captain Planet."
"GO PLANET!"
"THE POWER IS YOURS!"
Gaia's face soon appears on the face of earth. She then spoke...
"However, unknown to the planeteers, another magic ring, one thought to be lost for all time, will choose a new wielder, a young boy will fulfill his destiny and find his place among the defenders of Earth. And the boy's name?

In the skies above the rainforests of Peru, a seaplane is seen flying toward the city of Iquitos. It wasn't long until the Geo-Cruiser, the Planeteers' aircraft appears right behind the plane. On the rainforest grounds, a pair of hands pushes the handle down on a plunger detonator and the sound of an explosion can be heard from the distance. The Geo-Cruiser quickly flys toward the spot to investigate, but inside the seaplane...
"Did you see that flash of light?" asked Adam Greene.
"Someone's blasting, i'm afraid." said Dr. Noah Greene. "I'll look into it after we get to Iquitos."
The seaplane continues on toward the city, but back at the rainforest, a brown insectivore bat and a black leaf nosed bat wearing eyeglasses gathers near a dead seedling...
"I felt the earth shake!" said the insectivore bat. "Then i found the seedling bent over. What shall we do?"
"There is nothing we can do. The seedling is lost to us." said the leaf nosed bat. "We must consult Forest Heart."
The two bats fly away just in time for the Planeteers to regroup after a unsuccessful search for the perpetrators of the explosion.
"Proklyatiya, they got away!" Linka cursed.
"They must have knew we were coming." said Ma-Ti.
"What now?" Gi asked.
"Someone in the city must be pulling strings, let's go there and find the guy." Wheeler told the planeteers.
Ma-Ti sees Kwame examining the dead seedling he found in the ground, Ma-Tai asked Kwame...
"Kwame, what's wrong?"
"This is grim, indeed." Kwame said with uneasiness. The other planeteers comes over to look at the dead seedling. "This poor seedling must have been destroyed by the explosion."
"That's terrible." said Gi. "Who could be so heartless?"
"No idea, but Whoever it is, someone has a LOT to answer for." said Wheeler.
The seaplane was nearing the city of Iquitos. After an hour or two, the aircraft arrives at the city. Sometime later, the Geo-Cruiser arrives at Iquitos...
