Chapter 1: Teasing
We were walking endlessly in silence. The ice cold breeze kissing my soft lips making me shivers from head to toe. Wanting warmth, I slipped my hand to his cool firm hand. He suddenly gasped silently, breaking the silence in the enchanting meadow. I saw the blood rising to his cheeks and the panting of his racing heart. He showed uneasy movements and I heard his uneven breathing. I couldn't help but give out a laugh. His eyes directly set at me. "What's wrong?" he asked with a confused voice. "Nothing's wrong, you just seemed tensed" I answered, with a smug on my face. There was an awkward silence killing me. "Damn it, I can't even control my feelings" he murmured to himself. "Kaji…." I murmured. "Why do you have to surprise me all of a sudden?" he replied, his innocent face with eyebrows knotting together. "You'll get used to it" I replied and winked at him. Then again blood rushed through his white cold cheeks. I giggled to myself; it was too much fun teasing him.
"Say what, let's play tag" I asked him, another of my plans on teasing him. "Ooo..kay" he replied, nervously. I touched the tip of his nose, "You're it!" I said childishly. I ran as fast as I could, through the endless forest hearing only my own footsteps and the sound of nature. I inhaled the sweet scent of the grass. He'll never catch me, I thought to myself. I was still running leading no where even if my feet were getting numb from all the running, I didn't want to lose. I was so used to running that I didn't realize that for a second, I was off balance. It was too fast, my vision was blank. About 2 seconds, I realized I tripped over a rock. I knew I was going to fall, I couldn't do anything anymore, I was too tired to move. Then something hit me, I knew it was the rock. I was getting myself ready to face the ground. Then, I felt cool arms wrapped around my being, leaving shivers down my spine. I was in shock, and then I saw the eyes, the shining brown eyes staring down at me. "I caught you" he said under his last breath with a velvet voice. His voice making my head dizzy and my vision blurry. His cool breath burning every part of my body, touched by it. Inhaling his sweet breath, made my stomach twist in pain. Making my heart pound rapidly every second. It hit me like thunder, I was paralyzed. "Oh, Ayu." He chuckled under his breath. "You're like a corpse, are you alright?" he asked with shining eyes that blinded my eyes for a second. I'm not alright. How could he ask that question? Does he realize what he's doing to me? "Of course…not" I murmured, ashamed of myself. He laughed filling the empty forest, "Well like you said, you'll get used to it" He said smugly, with a husky voice and then he winked at me. I couldn't see my face, but I am absolutely positive that I was burning red.
