Jason had heard of the so called King of Kyrat. Everyone had. For years the many arms dealers of Rook Island had emigrated there on the promise of riches.
Jason wasn't worried about competition, he still had Vaas and Hoyts combined drug and gun dealer network. Even the CIA didn't care about him, or the network. If they did Jason had put a lookout for Willis.
Willis was a true Patriot and would kill him despite the brief friendship. That bastard would take up any suicide mission they threw him. So Jason needed early detection, if he wanted to live, screw paranoia he had to be careful.
Riley had left, every one of his friends had. After Citra's death Jason felt responsible. Not just for her death but everyone he'd killed in his vendetta against Vaas. Hoyt was the ring leader, sure, but Vaas was always the target.
So, despite Lisa begging him to leave and return to civilization. Jason stayed, Riley would tell his mom he died with grant, like he should have. Maybe it was the island, like Citra said, calling him to become the warrior. Or maybe that was his ego talking. Jason remembered the conversation with Lisa about all the killing.
Did he enjoy it now?
Develop a taste for it, for power and glory. Maybe he had. What did he have before all this? A shitty Job at a Café in suburban California. Living in a rundown apartment to get away from his parents.
Grant had bought it, said he needed to get away from their overprotective mother and regime driven father. And it had helped, for a while, to get away from the arguments and conflict. That didn't last long thou. Once he realized how average his life really was, and how miserable that made him.
But this thing he had now, however insane or dangerous it is. Jason knew it was right.
So this is my first fanfic I've ever written for Far Cry. Been on my mind since I played through Far Cry 3 then 4, although I felt the ending in Far Cry 3 didn't give enough credit on how much Jason had changed through the series. Even after everything Jason went through I don't think he could forget about Rook island and go back to a normal life.
Anyway If you've read the small intro please give you opinion in the review section on your ideas for the story. I'm planning in having Jason enter Kyrat and meet the famous Pagan Min.
