I was writing a Senshi x Shitennou story when this idea popped into my head. My Beta (WEASLEYxISxMYxKING), who posted her one-shot, encouraged me to post it, so here it is! Review to let me know what you think!
FORGIVE ME
Failure. That was the thought running through all the sailor senshi's minds in various incantations. I wasn't strong enough as a scout and failed my princess. I wasn't strong enough as a soul mate and failed my lover.
'Forgive me' was the last thought of each scout.
Queen Serenity felt these thoughts of all her beloved princesses. First, and most strongly, from her own daughter before she ended this plague of thoughts by taking her own life. Then she felt them from each member of the royal court.
"How could such pain and heartache have occurred?" the queen whispered to her two faithful advisors. "How could I have failed so greatly?"
"Your majesty! You can not take the blame for these evil times," Luna said.
"I failed all of them, Luna." They both watched as their queen formulated a plan. "You and Artemis must watch over them. I am sending you all to be reborn– a chance to start over, have a happy ending. You must find my daughter, Serenity, and watch over her. Guard over her, watch all of them as they find each other. I pray that in the future they can all find each other and have the happiness and love with each other deprived to them now."
She watched as all of them floated off to where only Pluto knew when. "Be safe, my daughter," Queen Serenity whispered to the empty and desolate night. "May you all find the happy ending together at last," she whispered. She felt her strength failing as the crystal had drained the last of her life force.
"Forgive me," she uttered with her last breath, as her drained body collapsed onto the remnants of what used to be the moon palace.
