Moon Phases
It was January, the 6th, to be exact. The first snow had fallen of the new year. Tomorrow will be the new moon I have to get ready. The next morning, I prepared for the change that would over come me that night.
It had just gotten dark when the world started to close all around me as the moon rose. The pain was immense and a blood curdling scream cut through the still night air. It seemed far away, but I knew where it came from. The world got darker and darker until the last thing I saw was a black claw-like hand touch the ground.
It was morning the sun was shining on the new fallen snow. I couldn't remember what had happened last night and I knew why. Nobody else at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry knew my secret. Only me.
It all started three years ago, when I was 8.
Flashback: It was a cold moon lit night. The full moon was out, I can remember it as clear as water. My family and I were just about to go to sleep when a knock was heard at the door. My father went to open it and a man came in. He looked like a bum to me, but my mother, believing that it would be okay for him to stay, let him sleep on the couch.
I woke to my mother screaming. I ran into the living room and found my mother lying in a pool of blood, my father laying right next to her. Blood was seeping from a huge gash in his neck. What I saw next, no one would believe me, looked like a huge dog. It raced toward me on all fours. I felt a sharp pain and blacked out.
End Flashback
I now know that the man that attacked my family and I, his name is Fenrir Greyback and I will get my revenge, I just don't know how.
That was three years ago. That's how it happened. And now the transformations have become a normal routine for me. Three days after my transformation last month a body was found near the lake. It was slashed beyond recognition. There were no finger prints found on the body. The only evidence were bloody paw prints found on and leading away from the body toward Hogwarts.
