Arthur sighed as he walked through the front door of his home, it had been a long day at work and he just wanted to go to bed. He carefully put his jacket in the coat closet before slowly dragging himself up the stairs.

When he finally made it into his bedroom he was too tired to worry about his clothes, he plopped down on to the bed and curled up into a ball. The bed felt scarily empty and lonely to Arthur, his previous boyfriend had died a month ago from a car accident, he had been texting instead of watching the road.

Arthur forced the thought into the back of his head so that he could try and get some sleep. Then morning finally came around he had gotten barley any sleep, he got up groggily and decided to change into something more comfortable.

Finally out of his wrinkled suit and in more comfortable pajamas he ventured down to the kitchen to fix a cup of tea, he had been pouring hot water in a cup when someone knocked loudly at the door. Startled he spilt some of the scolding water on his hand, he let out a pained yelp.

"hang on!" he quickly wets a rag with cold water and held it to his hand before finally running over to answer the door, but the person behind it surprised him, Ludwig. He and Ludwig had been close friends when Arthur studied abroad in Germany, but hadn't seen the man in years since he came back to England. Ludwig cleared his throat pulling Arthur from his thoughts only to realize he had been staring.

"hello Arthur" Ludwig finally says this being rather awkward for him.

"Ludwig its… it's been so long, ah please come in" hastily moving out of the man's way, Ludwig walks in grateful to be out of the cold of winter. Arthur glanced at his burnt hand.

"I was uh…making tea" Ludwig gives a little laugh, noticing that Arthur is still the same as he was in college.
