Alex pov

Kings college. Who would've thought an orphan like me could've made it to the Big Apple? In the back of the cab, I absentmindedly fiddled with my hair while taking in the sights of the greatest city in the world. As the yellow cab pulled up to my new home, he said,

"$22.75." In a rude tone. Oh shit, I only had twenty dollars. I forced it upon the scowling man and practically bolted into the admissions office to get my room assignment. I approached the front desk with caution.

"Hello, my name is Alexander Hamilton. I'll be a freshman this year. May I have my room assignment please?" I asked in what I hoped was a polite tone. The man, whose name tag said Mr. Trumbull, nodded slightly and handed him some papers and a key.

"You will be in room 1776. Have a good day." He huffed. I thanked him and made my way to find me dorm room. Not paying attention, I bumped into a man a couple inches taller than me.

"Hello, I'm Aaron Burr. I'm guessing your new, I'll lead you to your room," he offered. I nodded.

"Alexander Hamilton. Thank you very much, Aaron Burr, sir," I replied. He led me to my room and, with a shake of his hand, left him at the door.

Johns POV

I was sitting in my friend Laf's dorm, along with our other friend, Hercules Mulligan, or Herc. We were waiting for Laf's new roommate, a freshman who's name I can't remember. Laf and Herc were having a heated argument about which my Little Pony was the best. Herc liked Applejack and Laf thought it was Rainbow Dash. Honestly, I think Twilight Sparkle is the best, but no one cares about my opinion. Suddenly, there was a soft knock at the door, followed by the sound of a tapping foot l. Laf got up to get it, and when the door opened I could hear muffled speaking, then Laf spoke loud enough for us to hear.

"Guys, this is my new roommate, Alexander Hamilton. Alexander, this is Hercules Mulligan, but we call him Herc or Mulligan. And this," justured Laf towards me,"is John Laurens"

The new kid looked up, and my heart skipped a beat.
