One day, Tohru was in the kitchen when she suddenly felt a prescence behind her. She turned around to see Kyo about an inch away from her face. She let out a small 'Eep!' and retreated to the otherside of the room.
"Kyo? Are you alright? You scared me!" She let out a nervous laugh, but Kyo was staring at her intently with a look on his face Tohru couldn't identify.
"Kyo?"
"Kyo you're scaring me a lot more now..." She was slowly backing up against an unknown wall.
A bead of sweat slid down her face as she waited for the inevitable.
'This is it...NOT AGAIN!' She wailed internally. But, due to fate somehow hating her, it ahppened again.
"Tohru...I know what you did...now let me have it, and I promise things won't be messy as last time."
"But Kyo, it's not lunch time yet! and you must abide by the rules of eating luch AT the proper meal time! And it wouldn't be fair to Yuki and Shigure!"
"I...don't...care! Now Tohru, unhand my possesion or face my wrath!"
"NEVER!" Tohru grabbed the utmost precious possesion of which Kyo wanted so dearly, and ran around the kitchen, and throughout the house as if her life depended on it. As a matter of fact, it most certainly did. Kyo charged afer her like a speeding bullet, much like the speedy cat he was. They ran for what seemed like ten minutes, until Tohru tripped and fell, and was sprawled on the floor.
"Tohru...there's no hiding now...NOW SURRENDER MY MEOW MIX MEAL BEFORE I DO SOMETHING DRASTICALLY DRASTIC!"
"Fine Kyo, but please PLEASE don't sing the song! THat's why I don't let you have it before luch time!"
"Give it to me first and I swear against Akito, I will NOT sing!"
"okay..." A little warily, Tohru slowly handed out the little can which consisted of the precious food that Kyo desired. But no, it wasn't enough, Kyo opened his mouth and began to voice out a song in a cat like manner.
"KYO YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDNT SING!"
"I HAD MY FINGERS CROSS! SO NOW...meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow, meow meow meow meow, meow meow meow meow, meow meow meow meow MEOW meow meow meow, meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow! meow meow meow chicken liver meow meow meow meow please deliver meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow!
"ARE YOU DONE NOW?" Tohru asked, exasperated. Yes, everytime she gave him his meow mix, he ALWAYS sang that song...even when the flavor wasn't even chicken liver! This is why when she feeds him meow mix during luchtime, because Kyo wouldn't DARE sing in front of Yuki and Shigure. Yet, he had no problem singing in front of Tohru, seeing as she was his best friend.
Kyo finished of with a last off tune "meow."
Tohru sighed, and went back to the kitchen preparing the other meals while kyo ate his wonderful meow mix, still humming the song in his head. Sometimes TOhru wondered WHY she buys it for him in the grocery store. But then, she remembered, he would shop with her and try to sing the song in public, lest he see the special can inside the cart. Whenever it came to Meow Mix, it was always a win win for Kyo.
But don't get Tohru started on Yuki when he sees a pack of Single's Cheese.
