Are You Crazy Enough to Do it Challenge: 89. (AU!) Novel Writer

Logan smiled at the line of fans waiting for his autograph. His autograph. It was surreal. When he wrote his novel, he never thought it would be published. But then when it was accepted by the company, he never thought it would be bought. But then he had sales, and he never thought it would be liked. But he got good reviews from critics as well as the regular reader.

It was a dream come true.

There was only one thing that could possibly make it better. As if his thoughts summoned her, he heard a familiar voice. "So, what does it feel like to be on top of the world?"

He looked up from the stack of books that sat on the table and met familiar brown eyes and an even more familiar sarcastic smirk.

"Veronica Mars. As I live and breathe." She was standing to the side, not in the line, but she was there.

"So, how does it feel to be at the top of must-read lists?"

"Pretty good," he admitted.

Veronica was his high school girlfriend and one of the main reasons he pursued writing. She always pushed towards a dream he thought was impossible, and he wasn't sure he would have tried if it hadn't been for her steadfast encouragement and belief that he was good enough to be a published author.

They tried to date while in college, but they had been in different places and allowed themselves to drift apart. Logan had never stopped loving her, but he knew it wasn't their time, so he had accepted their breakup. He had still held onto hope that they'd find their way back to each other, though.

"So, did you come for my autograph? I'll give you something a little extra if you want to come back to my hotel room with me," he flirted with a waggle of his eyebrows. Although, he did try to be quiet about it. No need to give his fans the wrong idea.

The girl standing in the front of the line heard anyways. She raised her hand. "I'll have some of what she's having."

Logan smirked but kept his gaze solely focused on Veronica. "So, is it a yes or a no?" he held his breath.

She was silent for a moment before she finally said, "Yes."

Air left his lungs with a whoosh. "Now, I'm on top of the world."

Notes: If anyone would like to see me write anything, feel free to prompt me. I usually only write in this collection if I have prompts I need to write, so no prompts, then no LoVe Drabbles. The prompts can be anything: a scenario, a word, a setting, an emotion, anything at all. If you want to see it, tell me.
