Naturally, I had to write a poem to commemorate this very special holiday. Happy Mother's Day to you all, my beloved readers and friends, and to your mothers as well. I hope it has been a good one.

They brought us into this world
They made us who we are
When we are lost and confused,
They are our guiding star
They lift us up when we're down
They wipe away our tears
Their kisses banish boo-boos
Their love consoles our fears
They serve as our sure fortress
Our shelter from the storm
When all else is dark and cold,
They keep us safe and warm
How can you ever explain
The magic of mothers?
Mothers are a miracle
Unlike any other
