Sora and Riku
"Yeah, I guess we're friends," said Sora to Kairi. Sora is a fourteen-year- old boy with a strong heart, with only a few weaknesses. One of them, although he didn't know it, was for Kairi. Also fourteen, Kairi is a somewhat new girl to the island that she moved to a few years ago. On this island, a group of people lives, and it is exactly like paradise.
"Are you just saying that? I saw your face when he beat you 4-1 yesterday," Kairi asked.
"He got lucky! No, wait, I mean I let him win! Umm. that's right! I was only acting," Sora lied.
Kairi giggled cutely and replied, "Whatever you say, I believe you."
Sora bit his lip, remembering yesterday's events. Riku had challenged him to a duel, and they went five rounds. Everybody knew Riku was the strongest one on the island. Obviously it showed when Sora was beat. He still had a swollen lip, but it was getting better.
"What's so great about being fifteen?" Sora mumbled, forgetting Kairi sitting there. Looking at her, he could tell she was thinking about Riku. Whenever she though of him, her eyes glazed over and the tips of her mouth turned up ever so slightly. It was clear she had a thing for him.
Suddenly she snapped out of her trance. "What was that, Saro? I won't be fifteen until October." Deciding not to explain, Sora shifted his sneakers and started to whistle. "Sora, you okay?" Kairi's wide, purple eyes questioned him.
"Yeah, I'm great. Listen, I'll talk to you later, I have to get some fish for dinner." Saro always loved fishing, but instead of turning to the sea, he went up to the bridge and sat. Often he did this, rethinking about reality.
"It's been perfect, nothing is going to happen," he thought firmly. "Ahhh, but that's the point," a voice in the back of his mind said, "It's been perfect too long. When you, Kairi and Riku leave for good."
"NO!" Sora screamed out loud. "If it was good this far, nothing would happen.
"Nothing at all."
He gulped.
"I hope."
