It is June 4, 2011. I am hanging out at the Relay for Life with my 2 best friends, Carly Shay and Alex Russo. We are talking about the upcoming band season. "I hope you and Justin make drum majors next season, Alex," I told my friend. "Besides boyfriend and girlfriend, you two would be great leading us onto the field." "Thanks, Angel," Alex replied. "You too, Carly," I told my other friend. "Good luck in trying out for drill team captain!" "Thank you, Angel," Carly replied. All 3 of us then walk around the track and talk. "I also have exciting news for you girls," I remarked. "What is it, Angel?" Alex asked me. "Well, I have some visitors coming to see me this summer," I told Carly and Alex. "Who's coming?" Carly asked. "3 very special friends of mine by the names of Sarah Phillips, James Hiller, and Henri LeFevre," I explained. "I made friends with these guys 9 years ago when my sister left for Dartmouth. I had some very good moments with them, like the time Sarah and I snuck out into a wild birthday party, and then James had to come save us both because no middle school kids were allowed at the party." "Uh-oh," Carly remarked. "That's not good." "Or, the time when it was picture day at school for James and Sarah, and James faked sick so he wouldn't have to get his picture taken. He also thought he was going crazy at the time. Luckily, I was there to support him. Or, how about the time when James was away on a ski trip, and Sarah was left to take care of her little brother, Henri all by herself? I helped her take care of them." "Wow, Angel!" Alex remarked. "You must be a hero for helping your friends." "Then, we all dealt with an unusually early spring heat wave back in May," I stated. "Similar to this past May, it would have been one of our warmest Mays on record! Can you imagine 90 degrees in May for Pittsburgh? Pretty unusual, huh?" "I agree," Carly remarked. "But, one of my best moments was when Sarah and I had girl bonding time. Sarah was my favorite friend because she was the one I would turn to for girl problems and fashion advice. She also wore some really nice outfits for a middle school girl, and she wore 3 nice pairs of earrings- her silver hoops, her red and purple pearls, and her raindrops." "We can't wait to meet this Sarah person," Alex stated. "Who are the names of your other two friends, again?" Carly inquired. "James and Henri," I replied. " Anyway, I am so excited to see these 3 friends of mine again! I've really missed seeing them for 5 years and it will be so nice to see them." We then walked to the gate, and gave each other a group hug. "Well, it was nice chatting with you girls," I stated. "I have to go back to my mom's apartment and see if Sarah, James, and Henri are there yet. Bye, girls!" Carly and Alex waved good-bye to me.
