Life with Jesse as a living and breathing soul was wonderful. The only thing that wasn't so satisfying was the fact that Jesse still hadn't told me those three words that every girl wants to hear.

'I love you.'

I am now 18 and winter is about to begin. Jesse and I live together in an apartment we've just bought and it still doesn't feel homey. If only Jesse could tell me those three wonderful words.

If only.

"Querida, I'm home," Jesse called.

"I'm in the bedroom," I said.

Jesse came into the bedroom and went straight for the closet. Her shuffled around my side of it and pulled out my long red dress with pink rosebuds and set it on my dresser. Then he shuffled around the bottom and pulled out my favorite pair of strappy black 3" heels. I stared at him in awe and watched as he raced around the room frantically trying to put together outfits for the two of us.

"Jesse, what are doing?" I gawked.

"Susannah, just put on that outfit in the bathroom and put your make-up on," he said. "And I'll take care of the rest."

"Whatever you say," I said, obediently.

After fifteen minutes I found Jesse putting the finishing touches on the living room. It was in the theme of the color red, cinnamon scented candles everywhere, and red roses everywhere. I smiled and sneaked up behind Jesse. He seemed startled at first, but calmed and kissed my hand. Then he turned on the stereo and soft, romantic music began playing.

As we swayed to the music, I thought about why Jesse had done this. Then the idea came to my mind.

Jesse was about to tell me that he loves me!

"Susannah, I need to tell you something," he said.

"Yes Jesse?" I asked, my voice squeaky like when I was 16.

"Susannah, I love with all of my heart. I would never want anything to happen to you. Would you marry me?"

Jesse and I had stopped dancing and he had a beautiful 14c gold diamond ring in front of me. I gaped at the ring and swung my arms around Jesse's neck. I squealed and kissed him madly. He was shocked at first, but soon was kissing me back with as much passion as I.

"Is that a yes?" Jesse asked, after we had come back up for air.

"YES!" I squealed and kissed him again. "I love you too, Jesse."
