Jack Hyde was the fiction Editor for SIP and dating Christian's half-sister Kerri. Kerri was born to their crack whore mother and her pimp Max. Her father Max made sure that Christian never knew about his little sister because once their mother died Max to his daughter with him and tried to give her a good life. But Keri watched the horrors that came with her father's lifestyle. She had a list of mom in and out of her life growing up. There were things that happened to her that she will never speak of as she was growing up. Simply because of her father's lack of care as he lived his life with his whores. Once Kerri was 18 and graduated she went to at Washington State University in Vancouver. That's where she met her dom and long-term boyfriend Jack Hyde. She was working as a stripper at one of the bar scenes to pay for college. He happened to be a regular and seeing her look he had to have her. Jack took her to the back room and made sure he got what he wanted. Since then he's been paying for her college and she was his live-in girlfriend there to be at his beck n call whenever he needed her.
As Jack was at work looking to hire a new assistant she was hired as a temp since Jack pushed for her. Kerri smiled as she walked through the office looking stunning in her business skirt suit and heels that Jack made her where along with her hair up in a bun. It was what he liked. Kerri used her knuckle to knock on his door to bring him coffee and his danish. Jack smiled and shut the door behind her. They were alone since most of the office went home. Kerri bit her lip in excitement waiting for his commands. "Well, Boyce I wanna get you in here for a meeting. I love the first few chapters and can't wait to read the rest." He finished his phone conversation with an author as he took the ruler off his desk and swatted her with it playful. She knew to be quiet because he was on the phone. She bit her lip as he did it again a little harder this time. Kerri knew the punishment for making a noise while he was on the phone. this was one of his favorite games. "well I'm going the convention next month. We can meet and talk it over then. " jack said swatting her one more time before bending her over his desk. Kerri just kept her mouth shut and waited for him "Great see you then." Jack said kissing her neck softly lifting her skirt up pleased to know there was nothing underneath. "you are such a good girl KerBear. I want to give you a bit of good news for being such a good girl." he whispered in her ear. Kerri just waited and he swatted her again this time leaving a mark with the ruler. " I know publishing isn't your thing. Plus I know you've been looking at dance instructor jobs." Jack said swatting her again making her hang on every word.
He continued on as she was panting and looking down at the applications on his desk. She recognized a name on one of the papers it was a girl she was taking English Lit with at WSU. She could hear his growl as he was getting turned on himself. Jack swatted her again before undoing his pants. "I got you a job at my friend Elena's gym she just opened as a pole dance instructor," he whispered in her ear taking her deeply. Kerri knew Elena well enough. She met her at a charity function jack dragged her to every year. Plus Elena helped show her what Jacks need were. Kerri let out a moan and let the thought slip her mind as she finished her final exam for her lit class. She breezed passed Ana and kate as they made plans. Kerri was scoping out the prospect for Jack to make sure she was the real deal at this point once Kerri told him about her. Kerri Remember telling him about Ana after their fun and felt how turned on he was getting which worried her a bit. But she knew better than to displease Jack. So she did as she was told and got close with the two girls. Kate stopped her in the hall making Kerri jump a bit. "didn't mean to scare you girlie. But wanted to invite you to the bar tonight since exams are done. Unless you gotta run home to that hot editor you bagged." Kate said putting her arm around Kerri. Kerri looked at her phone and Jack was working late again tonight and then had to go to New York for a meeting. Kerri texted him she was going out and she replied quickly.
Jack: Hey working late and then gotta fly to new york behave yourself.
Kerri: Yes sir...Is it okay if I go to the bar tonight with my friend's sir?
Jack: Yes you may but you know your limits and text me when you get home.
Kerri: Yes Sir.
"He's gotta fly to New York tonight. So I would love to go out. Whose all going?" Kerri replied with a smile. Kate was ecstatic that her two best friends could come with her. Kate hugged her saying. "Me you ana, Jose and a few random" "well Then I'll meet you guys there," Kerri said as Kate waited for Ana. Kerri got into her brand new Dodge Charger that Jack bought her for her birthday last year. She sped on the high way blaring her music and cruising along. While Kerri was headed home Jack was in a hotel with Liz one of his bosses in a hotel room videotaping him doing what he liked with Kerri but he would never tell her of the affairs because he wanted more than just her. He was using it for blackmail like the rest. Once Kerri got home she went into the walk-in closet they shared. She had to pick our something casual to wear. Grabbing a pair of black skinny jeans a tank top and one of her tight tees she decided to check her email as she got dressed. Kerri was waiting on some news from a detective she hired to find out about her mother since her dad never told her anything. She opened the email from the officer. She read it thoroughly and seen she had a brother who was adopted named Christian Grey. Her heart dropped and she googled his name. Kerri scrolled through and seen the pictures of him. She wanted to know her older brother but was scared he wouldn't want to know her. So closing her laptop she decided to just get ready and not think of it.
Later that night at the club she watched Ana hammer drinks down with the crowd, But since Kerri wanted to be responsible she was only drinking water with an occasional shot to be a designated driver for anyone who needed it. Jose stopped Ana for a brief moment before letting her go. Kerri decided to step outside for a cigarette and Jose Followed. "You do realize Ana doesn't like you like that," Kerri said being quite honest with him. Jack knew all about Jose and what he did. Simply because Jack had hired him to do Kerri's photographs for the gym as well as the website for her classes at the gym. "she'll give in eventually." Jose murmured taking a drag of his own cigarette. Jose went back in and noticed an SUV speeding up and stopping in front of the bar. Kerri watched Her brother and another male get out of the car and go into the bar. Maybe this was her chance to introduce herself. but then again she was still scared to. Kerri watched how he was with Ana just watching and staring as he treated her with the utmost care in her drunken state. Biting her lip she just disappeared from the crowd and just dance. Jack called her phone it was midnight and she was slightly buzzed. She excused herself from Elliot and Kates company since the two seemed to be getting offely chummy in there.
"Hello sir," Kerri said walking towards her car to sit in it. Jack of course and his own stalker qualities was sitting in the parking lot hidden in his car. "I know you're not driving home in a tipsy mess and going to ruin that new car of yours. Are you?" Kerri looked around for him and said "no sir just came to sit in a warm car n have a cigarette. Thought you were going to New York?" "I am in new york," he said lying through his teeth he was just simply making sure she was being loyal and faithful like she promised him the day she became his submissive. " then how do you know where I am?" she asked questioning him. "don't worry about that. I just called to make sure you were safe and not too drunk from raging with your friends." he said with a smile as she lit her cigarette. It was one of the habits he tolerated from her after getting her clean off of everything she was on. "I've only had water and a few shots sir. I know when to stop when you're not around sir." Kerri said taking a puff. She added, "oh Christian Grey was here picking up that brunette you like so much for the PA job." "Really now..." he said adjusting himself a little. Jack had a bone to pick with Christian Grey. Jack felt that Christian owed him a better life than he had. Hell, he thought Christian owed Kerri a better life than she had.
Jack knew all about Kerri's past and her family because he did his own background check on her before introducing himself to the club. Elena a close friend introduced him to her one night they were out. Elena was playing matchmaker as she usually did. She was a mistress and taught both Christian and Jack to exercise their control. Of course at separate times in their lives. Jack met Elena when he was a bit older and came from Chicago and needed something new in his life again. Elena introduced him to his three previous assistants as well as Kerri. But the day he met Her he knew there was something special about her. With her by his side he thought he would be able to bring Christian down and make him hurt more. "yeah. He carried her out of the bar cause she didn't know when to stop drinking. But Sir, since I've only had a few shots, may I please leave here in my own car?" Kerri was asking for permission which was typical. She had to do it growing up too. She was a child of abuse and Neglect because of her father's life. "yes you may...call me as soon as you get in the house and when you go to bed, please. I have to get some rest I meet with a few authors tomorrow." He said with a smirk watching her start her car. It was a pretty blue dodge charger it was her dream car she always talked about wanting. Jack licked his lips before hanging up the phone.
He was pleased to hear about Ana and wondered if he could use it to his advantage. Jack watched her peel out of her spot and head for the stop light. He didn't bother following her since he had a flight to catch. Once he checked in and boarded the plan he closed his eyes and just thought of his plan to destroy Christian and use Kerri to every advantage he could since that was the type of person he was. Once Kerri got home she texted him quickly that she made it home and was headed to bed. Kerri had an early day tomorrow. She had to help Elena at the Salon to book appointments and run the front since someone called in sick. Although it wasn't in Kerri's job description she did anything Elena asked Simply because Jack respected her and Kerri knew what she could do with a flogger. Kerri had been on the other side of Elena's floggings once before for disobeying her during a class Elena was giving at a local club. Kerri fell asleep watching a movie on the couch because sleeping in the bed made her feel more alone. She woke up to her alarm forgetting where she was. Kerri had been dreaming of what life might have been like if she and Christian were left together in the system. She dreamed of an older brother protecting her and making sure she was safe. Kerri shook the thoughts from her head and headed for the shower.
Once she was done she went to the Salon cleanly dressed just like Elena would expect of her. It was a rather slow day at the Salon until things started to look up a little. Christian and his bodyguard Taylor came in. Taylor needed a cut and Christian was here to see Elena. Kerri greeted them both and took their jackets. "Mr grey..Mrs. Elena with be with you in just a moment she is finishing up a conference call. Can I get you anything to drink." Kerri said on cue as she sat him down in Elena's office to wait. Christian replied, "coffee, two sugars, and steamed milk please." He had no preference, of course, he just liked making things difficult sometimes keeping workers on their toes. Kerri lowered her eyes to the floor which was typical because he never looked anyone in the eyes unless ordered too. Christian smirked watching the beauty walk from the room to the coffee station making his coffee perfectly even making a design with the milk. on to before he drank it. Keri brought him his coffee as Elena came in hanging up her phone. Kerri excused herself quickly with one look from Elena. Christian raised his eyebrow and smirked giving Elena a hug. "whose the new assistant?" he asked Elena as he watched Kerri through the window of the office. Elena smirked and said "Her name is Kerri Stark. She fits your need to a tee but she is currently someone's sub. But I'm pretty sure if you are looking for something new I could persuade her."
Christian stopped her there with "you know I'm not that type to take something from someone. But she definitely looks familiar." Elena smiled and said "thats the stripper your brother Elliot thought he could handle." Christian cringed at that moment. Elliot and him went to a local strip club for Elliot's birthday and Elliot kept hitting on a stripper. She kept turning him down but Elliot was persistent. Finally Kerri gave in and gave him a lap dance. But once he got to handsy she kneed him in the nuts and took what he owed her. Kerri breezed past him with a familiar smile like he had seen a ghost of his past. Christian shook his head laughing at the thought. "ah yes one of my brothers finest moments. But i'm not here to talk about my needs right now. I just came to see how everything was running here and at the new gym next door?" he said sitting on the couch with her. "good both are very profitable especially with that brunette you keep staring at. She's been teaching the pole fitness class and we have a waiting list to get into it cause she is so good." Elena said watching him lick his lips as he watched Kerri attend to the customers before texting on her phone.
Kerri was texting her boyfriend Jack.
Kerri: guess whose in a meeting with Elena
Jack: who?
Kerri: Christian grey I guess he is a silent partner here.
Jack: Really has he said anything to you
Kerri: Just for a coffee and that it.
Jack: keep it that way. his taste is like mine I want you nowhere near him.
Kerri: Yes Sir. I have to go back to work. love ya
Jack: You too. Behave...
Kerri put her phone away before going back to the front desk. She took a call and walked calmly back to the office. she knocked on the door keeping her eyes on the ground as she knew to do. Elena smiled standing up and said, "what is it, Kerri?" "It's Paul he's on line one for you. It's about dinner tonight ma'am." Kerri said excusing herself but Elena stopped her. "Kerri before you leave to go next door I want you to meet someone," Christian smirked and stood up extending his hand. Elena said "Kerri this is Christian grey. He is a partner in the salon and the gym." Kerri shook his hand and said "It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir. Its an honor to be working for you and Mrs. Elena." Christian just smirked at her and as she excused herself from the room again to greet her relief for the afternoon so she could go next door to the gym. Christian looked at Elena and said "there is something about her that I find interesting" When Kerri looked him in the eyes to great him he felt like he was looking at himself and a part of his past that he couldn't put his finger on. He texted one of his people. He then kissed Elena's cheek before excusing himself to head to another meeting in Washington. He got on the phone quickly. "I want a background on Kerri Brooks. She is an employee of Elena's" her ordered Taylor as they drove back to the Heathman in Vancouver.
Kerri had four back to back classes and once she finally was done she locked the door so she could do her own thing for a bit. It was the perks of working for Elena. She let her work out for free whenever she neede. Kerri was perfecting a routine for Jack and she's 4-year anniversary coming up quite soon. Kerri wanted to give him something special but all she had to give him was herself. As she had her headphone on she didn't notice Jack using his key to the studio door with white roses as she was focused on what she was doing. Jack knew she couldn't hear him because she had her earphones on and wasn't paying attention to the mirror. But She let out a scream seeing him. Kerri lifted her headphones off her ears and rand to him wrapping her legs around him. Jack smiled putting the roses down before catching her. "surprised" he asked her kissing her neck still holding her with her legs around him. "very I wasn't expecting you to come home till after graduation tomorrow." she said letting go and sliding down him to her own two feet. "well Liz decided she could handle the writer out there so I could be home for your big day tomorrow." He said kissing her forehead before wiping his lips. "you are very sweaty wanna go home and shower." he, of course, was picking on her. Kerri wiped her face off and threw the towel at him. "you would be two teaching four dance classes back to back ." Kerri said to him before grabbing her duffel bag and putting on her tennis shoes and getting out of her stripper heels.
Jack just smirked taking her duffel bag off her shoulder. Something was different and jack was being nice which was rare. usually, he was dominating all the time but it was nice to change up the pace for Kerri. After slipping on her tennis shoes she grabbed her flowers and the two walked out hand in hand. Kerri was happy at this moment putting the idea of her having a big brother and a relationship with him on the back burner. Meanwhile Christian was staring at the little bit of brief that his team could dig up. Kerri was using a fake name when it came to her life because she didn't want her father finding her. All the document showed was from her time in Seattle and Vancouver and nothing more. Christian texted Elena asking questions about Kerri.
Christian: I hate to be a bug. But what can you tell me about that brunette earlier?
Elena: Why? are you interested in taking her on as a sub?
Christian: Kind of but I want to know more about her. It seems she might be using a fake name.
Elena: all I know is she has a troubled past n doesn't talk about it.
Christian: Explains a lot. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Christian was getting irritated not hearing from ana on her decision either so he decided a run was best. Grabbing his iPod he went for a run texting Ana a few times and getting some response. But nothing he was hoping for yet. He wanted to know why he reminded her of the crack whore. Why her eyes matched his? Christian had his own questions and to know what could be. That was typical for him. As he ran he texted his brother to see what he was up to tonight. As Christian was on his run Kerri and Jack were sitting on their balcony with a glass of wine each and her having a cigarette. She asked "why are you so worried about Christian Grey?" it was honestly just a question. Jack ran his fingers through his hair and to hide his real plans he told her. "because he likes what I like and I don't want to lose the best thing in my life. you've been my muse and my lifeline no matter what came along since i met you." This gave Kerri butterflies and made her glow as she took a drag fro her cigarette. Jack pulled her into his lap and putting both his and her cigarettes out and kissing her lips passionately. "you're mine always." he said capturing her lips with his teeth. once he let it go she said "always." "good girl.. I have to make a call and I will see you upstairs in ten minutes," he said looking at his phone It was Liz having an issue. Kerri smiled and grabbed her glass of wine heading to their playroom to prepare for him. she finished her wine and left her glass on the table as she got into her kneeling position by the door.
Jack went into his office and called Liz. "what is it now? you know she is close by." He barked at Liz. Liz whimpered and said "well I wanted to let you know Boyce agreed to meet with you in two weeks and Christian Grey is trying to find out info on your beauty. One of our friends in Seattle PD texted me." Jack let out a grow upset and said: "well make sure he find nothing on her before her time out on the west coast." "Yes, sir." Liz knew that growl and knew better than to argue with him. Jack just hung up with her and looked at a picture of him and Kerri in Chicago at a Cubs game when they first started dating and he was working there for the time being. He knew she was his ticket into Christians life and his plan he had since he was a kid and the greys adopted christian and not him.
