Garcia waited in shocked silence as the paramedics, carefully transferred the young man into the ambulance.

Reaching out she clasped Spencer's hand in hers, "Spencer...", for once Penelope Garcia did not know what to say, deciding that speech was not necessary she wrapped her arms around her young friend in a hug, giving and gaining strength.

"He came to say good bye," Spence whispered, "I thought he was just going to the hospital," gripping onto Garcia as if she was a lifeline. "I should have known, I should HAVE KNOWN!"

"Shh, it's okay, we got here in time. He's going to get the help he needs." Garcia shoved her shock and fear to the farthest parts of her soul, trying to do what she did best, comforting her friend.

Suddenly she felt the tense muscles in her neck relax, help was here. Gideons soothing voice rolled over the pair. Releasing Spencer, Garcia found herself wrapped in a pair of strong arms, as a warm soothing voice told her that the boy would be fine.

Turning her head she could see Gideon speaking ernestly to Spencer, Garcia knew that it was time too allow herself to feel the fear and anguish she had stuffed down inside; stuffed so far down inside she knew that it would be hours before the situation actually hit her.

Gideon took a quick glance over where Garcia was wrapped tightly in Morgans arms, when the call came he hadn't hesitated to call the only other person he knew would be able to make Garcia comfortable. He saw much more than his team gave him credit for, he had seen the growing closeness between Morgan and Garcia.

Gideon did not know where the closeness would lead, whether it would turn out to be a lasting deep friendship or evolve into something more. He was just glad that the two young people had each other to lean on. Quietly he started to lead Spencer off towards, his car, listening to what Spencer had to say, allowing him to work his way through his grief, interjecting a word or two when appropriate.

He waited for Morgan to seat Garcia into her classic convertible, watched as Garcia twisted around in her seat so that she could keep in her eyesight the whole time he walked around to the drivers side. Gideon smiled softly as Morgan reached over and lifted Garcia's hand to give it a quick kiss before starting the car.

As the pair drove past, Gideon caught Garcia admonishing Morgan, not to damage her girl. Gideon knew that whatever Morgan did to help Garcia get past this eventful night, he would never hear about it. Morgan and Garcia would be back at work as if they had not spent the time together. Just as they had done so many times before after Morgan worked a difficult case.

Getting into the drivers seat of the SUV, Gideon eyed Spencer Reid, who sat dispondent in the passenger seat. Nodding to himself, he turned the key to the ignition and headed out to the hospital. It was going to be a long night, but worth it to know that his team would be wounded but healing.
