"I told you, I don't know anything." Effie Trinket's voice screeched, her voice was uneven to get any air into her lungs. President Snow crossed his arms, acknowledging the strapped up woman that was against the wall. Her wig was nowhere in sight but instead her blonde hair was napped, highly known that it was neglected for weeks. The old man placed his arms behind his back, taking a few steps in the room and stared at the floor.

"That sounds almost..impossible. Since, you were the escort to the two Star Crossed Lovers. You seemed close to them and yet you have no idea on their whereabouts?" With a wave of his hand, the two Peacekeepers that were standing by the woman began to zap a run of electricity through her entire body. A loud yell of pain slipped from her mouth before she clentched her teeth until the pain disappeared.

"I. Don't. Know." Her eyes were bloodshot once they made eye contact with the man that she once admired. Haymitch Abernathy was more than careful to tell random people about his plan. Just with the thought of his name gave her back a time where things were simple. When they argued over class and modesty. And now she wasn't able to talk to him, wasn't able to express what she felt for him.

The lighting of the concealed room wasn't that bright to begin with, leaving direct light towards the victim and the questionare. His hand was held again but now he gave them the okay to cut her off of the wall. Enough electricy went through her body that she was unable to stand up. She collapsed quickly, her cheek hitting hard against the pavement before the two Peacekeepers grabbed her by the arms and dragged her out of the room.

She couldn't recollect how many passages they went through nor how many doors they passed before they got to her room. They dropped her to the ground without a hint of grace, leaving shortly after. Once the door was locked and the sound of the footsteps from the guards were gone, a soft voice came from the wall next to her.

"Effie? Are you okay?" The woman staggered up, attempting to at least sit down but her arms gave out. Her mouth parted, licking the line of her lips.

"I'm fine." Her Capitol accent failed to speak clearly.

"What happened this time?" The voice came again and the woman lightly laughed, crawling her way to the wall.

"Same as always, Peeta." Silence came shortly afterwards as if he understood.

"It'll be over soon." His voice sounded comforting. She prompted herself up against the wall, letting her legs stretch out in front of her. A tear ran against her normal skin color while she shook her head. The beat up woman stared at was the stone walls that now surrounded her. A loud scream echoed throughout the walls, booming in every direction.

"Annie?" Effie didn't want to know the answer once she asked.

"They came for her after they took you. Johanna hasn't been back." His voice sounded worried and he had a right to be. "They'll come for us, Effie. I know it." She didn't have to ask who he was referring to. He spoke of rescue.

Sweet little Peeta. Now Effie released tears, letting each of them hit her like a bullet. She stared at her mistreated legs, where it contained bruises and cuts of puss and blood.

"Oh Peeta. They won't come for me. I'm not important. They'll come for you, Annie too... even Johanna." Reality is hitting her while she admits it. Before Peeta had a chance to inturrupt, the sound of one of the room doors opens. Effie holds in the sobs as she attempts to hear. A small grunt is heard as it hits the floor. It wasn't long when the room next to her opened. A deep voice comes from the Peacekeeper.

"Let's go!" It's Peeta Mellark's turn for interrogation.
