Author's Note - I am in no way expecting this to be a good or even decent story. I just got extremely bored and picked up writing again to blow off some steam. It's a completely original story set in the DxD universe with DxD characters but also OC, using Kamen Rider Gaim terminology and ideas. Not really a crossover, but….idk….hope you like it.

A man and a woman stroll through Kuoh Central Park, letting their two year old baby boy get some fresh air after taking him to daycare. The man spots a bench overlooking the lake and the two decide to sit down and take in the breeze. It was around sunset, so the sky was painted a brilliant shade of scarlet that made the man feel at piece.

"Here you go Issei," his wife picked up baby Issei from the stroller and held him in her arms, swaying him back and forth. "Isn't it pretty?"

The man stared at his wife and child in awe. He would never have imagined their life being so peaceful and quiet, living in this city, and now raising a child. It was everything he could have imagined was now within his grasp.

"Yuzuru?" His wife asked. "Is everything okay? You seem distracted."

Yuzuru entangled his hand within his wife's brown hair and caressed her cheek. "Everything's perfect, I couldn't be happier." He leaned back as she fell into his arms. The three of them admired the painted lake reflecting the sky, until Yuzuru noticed something in the water.

It was…a zipper? A large zipper appeared in the center of the lake, however it was merely a reflection…from the sky. Yuzuru looked up to see a zipper opening in the middle of the air, about 100 feet above of them. It opened in a straight line, and something came shooting out of it like a rocket, crashing into the trees beside Yuzuru and his family. Yuzuru instinctively shielded his wife and child as smoke and ash surrounded them from the impact of…whatever just crash landed.

He used his hand to wipe away the dust and looked up at the sky. The zipper was still open, however it was closing, slowly but surely. He turned his attention to the crash site. "Are you okay?" he asked his wife. "How's Issei?"

His wife coughed, however shielded Issei with his blanket. "We're okay, go."

Yuzuru nodded and walked towards the crash site. He shielded his mouth with one arm while blowing away the dust with his other, slowly making his way towards the crater. His footsteps were careful as he tread closer and closer. The dust finally began to clear as he arrived at the crater. It was some 5 feet deep crater. Looking back to make sure his family was okay, he slid down to investigate.

Yuzuru finally saw what had crash landed. It was a man. He looked to be in his early twenties, with bright blonde hair that seemed to be angelic in nature. He wore white and silver armor, however it was cracked and broken. He was clutching at something in his arms, wrapped in a white cloak. Yuzuru knelt down to check on the man, when his eyes suddenly darted open and he began to panic.

"Who-"

"It's okay," Yuzuru placed a hand on the man's shoulder. "I'm here to help. Are you okay? Are you injured?"

The man suddenly seemed to be drained of all his energy. His complexion turned pale, as pale as his hair, and his eyes began to dilate. The man revealed what was wrapped in the white cloak…it was a baby. It was obvious that that the baby was a newborn, barely an hour old. The man presented the baby to Yuzuru. "P-Please…t-take care…take care of him…"

"I-I can't…" Yuzuru said, his voice shaking. "Let me help you, I'm a doctor. I can-"

"There is nothing human doctors can do for me now," The man said, with a pained look on his voice. It was then that Yuzuru saw the injury on his stomach. Something had pierced his stomach and created a hole right through him. It was a miracle he was still alive. The man reached for his waist, and unbuckled his belt buckle. It was a strange belt buckle, black with a yellow knife lodged on the right side. In the middle was what seemed like a lock, that the man dislocated and collapsed. It looked like an orange…an orange lock?

He placed the two items within the white cloak, and handed the child to Yuzuru. "Your eyes…they're very much like my own. The eyes of a kind and gentle soul. Please…" There was more that he wanted to say, but Yuzuru knew that he didn't have long. He knew what he was going to say. Those are the eyes of a father. Yuzuru hardened his heart and nodded. "I'll take care of him, I promise."

"Thank you…" The man smiled, as tears rolled down his eyes. "Your name…what is your name…"

"Yuzuru," He said, holding the baby in his arms. "Hyoudou Yuzuru."

"Yuzuru-San," The man said. "My death will bring destruction and chaos into this world…please…don't blame this child for my actions. He is destined for greatness…he will…" The man stopped and ached at his stomach. "Go, get out of here. It isn't safe."

"Your name," Yuzuru said. "What is your name?"

"Go," The man said. "You must hurry…Go!"

Yuzuru looked at the child, and quickly got to his feet. He climbed up out of the crater and met his wife. "Honey?" However there wasn't time. Yuzuru felt something coming and quickly got his wife and Issei to a safe distance away, and watched in awe as a bright flash of light erected a massive tree in the middle of the park. It was easily several hundred feet tall, with roots that reached several feet away. "Honey? What's going on?"

Yuzuru showed her the child. "The man…he…"Yuzuru saw the child open his eyes. They were an orange color, like the fruit…like the lock. "He knew he was going to die, so he gave his child to me knowing that I'd take care of him."

"He's so cute," His wife rubbed the baby's cheek. "What do we call him?"

Yuzuru looked to his wife, and smiled as he glanced down as his two sons. "Ryusei. Hyoudou Ryusei."

Present Day…

Ryusei tossed a tennis ball into the air and caught it, and repeated this several dozen times as he lay in his bed. Boxes of his belongings littered his bedroom floor. They had arrived this morning, however he had been so lazy to open them, all he'd done for the past few hours was what he was doing now, absolutely nothing.

Finally, he sat up and looked around. Nothing had changed in the years he's been gone, not a damn thing. His bed was still in the exact same place, in the right corner of the room with his desk in the opposite corner underneath the window. His closet and drawer were on the other side, and a bookshelf next to his window. And not to mention the boxes, which were all over the place.

He smirked and threw the ball at the wall and it sprang back to him perfectly in the cup of his hand, just as his laptop began to ring.

"Hello? Sei-Chan? Is that you? Hey, Sei-Chan!"

Ryusei sighed as he sat down at his desk and opened his laptop. An image of his childhood friend Shidou Irina, she was facetiming him. "Hey Irina, long time no see." Ryusei smiled.

"It's been what, a year? I haven't seen you since I bumped into you at your school." Irina smiled.

Shidou Irina was Ryusei's and his brother's childhood friend. They've known each other since they were little, however Irina's family moved when he was eight. He thought they'd never see each other again until around a year ago, Irina and her father were visiting Ryusei's school and ran into him at the library. They've been keeping in touch ever since then, but it was good to see her again after so many years.

She had definitely changed since they were kids. She wasn't a tom-boy anymore. She had longer hair, however it was still the same shade of chestnut with violet eyes and a cheerful and welcoming smile. She was wearing a white T-shirt with a lightning bolt on it.

"What's wrong Sei-Chan?" Irina asked. "You seem…sad."

"Huh?" Ryusei smiled. "Nah it's nothing, just re-adjusting that's all. How about you? How's Greece?"

"Oh my gosh it is beautiful!" Irina had overjoyed written all over her face. "Oh I wish you could see it Sei-Chan. Who knows, maybe I'll come kidnap you and bring you here." She smirked.

"Good luck with that," Ryusei smiled.

There was a knock at the door. "Yo, dinner's ready. Better get your ass down there before I eat everything."

"Yeah yeah, I'm coming."

His brother, Hyoudou Ryusei. Growing up, Issei was Ryusei's role model. His brother guided him through most of life, giving him advice on almost every part of his life. Leaving for school abroad was the hardest thing he ever had to do because he had to leave his brother. Being back home, it was amazing to finally be reconnected with his brother after so many years.

"Don't worry," Ryusei turned his attention back to Irina. "I didn't tell him I'm talking you again. But I don't understand why you're keeping it a secret."

"I know I know, it's just…not the time, okay?" Irina clapped her hands together. "Sorry for making you keep a secret from him, I know how close you two are."

"It's okay, don't worry," Ryusei said. "I just hope we all can be together again."

"Yeah…me too Sei-Chan." Irina said. "Alrighty, go and eat dinner. We'll talk again soon."

Irina gave Ryusei a peace out sign and hung up. Ryusei chuckled and stood up, walking towards the door. He passed by the mirror on his closet and stopped and stared. Was that really him? It was so hard to believe he was really the same kid that left Kuoh those three years ago. He was taller, around 6 feet? His hair certainly got longer, but he cut it short on the sides so he could tie it up in a bun. He was much leaner and his muscles were more define, however the thing he was always insecure about were his eyes. His eyes were unlike anyone else's, a bright orange color that caught everyone's eye as soon as he stared at someone. Things certainly have changed.

Ryusei quickly grabbed the orange lock on his desk and went downstairs to join his family at the dining table. Instantly he caught the whiff of his mother's homemade Japanese dinner. Her fried fish was amazingly well seasoned and fried to a crispy perfection.

Ryusei couldn't remember the last time he felt like this, genuinely happy. He felt at home in…well…his home. He listened as his brother told stories of the school that Ryusei was to attend tomorrow. Apparently Issei had recently joined a club in his third year of high school, he had also made some new friends from that club. It was good that Issei had made new friends. Ryusei had always known his brother to be a kind hearted soul, however his choice of friends were always a weird issue. Matsuda-San and Motohama-Kun were always nice people, however they seemed to be a bad influence on his brother.

Ryusei took a look at his parents. It had been awhile since he had last seen them. Both of them were in their early forties with however easily retained their youth. His mother was a stay at home mom while his father was a scientist at Yggdrasil Inc, the largest research and development company in Japan. Their Kuoh branch was where the company originated, and his father was the head of R&D.

His mom had long shiny black hair with brown eyes. She stood around 5'6 and was strangely tall for a Japanese woman. She was kind and warm and welcoming and greeted everyone with a smile and treated everyone like family and children as if they were her own.

His father had a much more outgoing and cheerful personality. He made fun of how foreign Ryusei looked with his hair and tanned skin. You would never look at Hyoudou Yuzuru and guess that he was a genius in charge of the science department of a multi-million dollar company. He had short brown hair and dark eyes, almost gray under the light of the sun.

As they ate and as his family laughed and had a cheerful time, Ryusei felt something stir in his stomach. Then it hit him, it was like someone had rammed his head into a metal wall and his brain was colliding back and forth in the walls of his skull. The banging in his head was painful, however the word wasn't accurate or extreme enough. Ryusei dropped his chopsticks and grabbed his head in pain.

"R-Ryu?" Issei looked at him in confusion. "RYU!"

Ryusei looked up at his brother and was flabbergasted when he saw someone standing behind Issei. His brother and stood up to check up on Ryusei but the figure that stood behind him seemed benevolent and quiet. He was a man in his early twenties…maybe even a few years older then he was. He had lengthy sky blonde hair and…eyes as orange as Ryusei's. He looked familiar…oddly family…however Ryusei was mortified when another figure appeared walked up behind him. It was covered in shadows, emitting a dark and horrific aura. The shadow covered figure pierced the man in the stomach with a a weapon made of shadows. Blood came dripping down the mouth of the blonde man and his eyes…his eyes were fixed on Ryusei and filled with pity.

Ryusei blinked and the figures disappeared. The headache slowly subsided…until it was gone. "Ryu…are you okay? What was that?"

"I'm fine…just a headache," Ryusei smiled awkwardly. "They've been happening every now and then, guess I'm just stressed a bit but I'm fine." He looked to his father. "May I be excused? It's been a long day."

His father smiled. "Of course. Go and get some rest kiddo, you start school tomorrow."

Ryusei nodded. He excused himself and walked up the stairs, however Issei stopped him. "Ryu…you know you can talk to me about anything right? Whatever you need…I'm always here."

Ryusei smirked. "Yeah yeah, I know. Don't worry but I'm fine. I'll see you tomorrow."

It's been happening for a while now. Those headaches have been occurring every now and then. Ever since he came to Holton Academy in London, the headaches have gradually been getting worse and worse. The hallucinations however have only been appearing the past few months. The headaches have been getting worse and worse, but what scared him were the hallucinations. That man… who was he? And that shadowy figure, it was terrifying.

Ryusei laid down on his bed and fell asleep. The dreams…they're back. Ryusei opened his eyes to see a massive tree…he was viewing it from several feet away from the actual tree but he could see the branches of the tree. There were seven branches with 3 on each sides and one at the top. Ryusei saw as a fruit appeared on each of the branches. An orange, a banana, grapes, a melon, a lemon, a durian, and an apple.

He had no clue what those fruit meant or why they're appearing here, but he figured it must have had something to do with the orange lock he had. Ryusei never really knew what it was or what it's purpose was. His father had given it to him when he was a kid and he's been holding onto it ever since. He figured it was a good luck charm of sorts but never questioned it until recently.

The scene shifted suddenly, from the majestic view of the tree to a global shot of the Earth as his view zoomed outward. It was rather beautiful, seeing the world like this. However as he looked closer, it wasn't as beautiful as he imagined. He saw something encroaching on all corners of the Earth. They looked like…vines, or plants, or trees. Whatever it was, it slowly covered the planet and soon enough, the beautiful blue marble was a dark and quiet abyss. From underneath the Earth, he saw…fingers? A hand easily twice the size of the planet came from underneath, holding the Earth like a water balloon. Slowly it tightened it's grip until the planet's surface began to crack, and then…POP!

Ryusei heard a laugh. A slow, menacing laugh that got louder and louder as a light began to shine from the emptiness of space. A voice broke the laughter and calmed Ryusei's nerves, only to raise more questions in his head.

Will you be the one, to pluck the Forbidden Fruit?

"Ryusei…Ryusei…" That voice, it sounded familiar, and soothing. "C'mon honey, are you okay? Ryusei."

His eyes snapped open, and he saw his mother sitting on the side of his bed. "What's the matter honey? You look like you've seen a ghost." Her words were meant to ease him, however standing in the corner of his room was the shadowy figure.

Rias knew it wasn't a normal tree the second she set foot in Kuoh Central Park with Akeno.

The ground was trembling, every seconds there was a pulse that emitted from the tree. She could feel the ley lines covering thousands of feet underneath the whole city. This tree, whatever it was, it was planting itself deep underneath the surface. Rias knew that cutting it down would not be a good idea. Something as powerful as this, it surely must have had a defense mechanism to prevent that.

"Akeno," Rias said. "What do you know of this tree?"

The black haired Queen smiled. "As much as you do, I'm afraid." She looked up at it's sheer height in awe. The largest tree in Kuoh, easily towering over many skyscrapers. The only thing to rival it's monstrous height was the Yggdrasil Tower, which lay at the northern side of the city. The was almost the crack of dawn, but Rias wanted to investigate the tree and see it for herself before her brother and the other Devils come.

"It suddenly appeared out of thin air almost 16 years ago," Akeno explained. "A tree with unknown origins and even more unknown species. We've tried to narrow down what type of tree it is but it is unknown to the Devils or the humans. Magic flows through it like a body, channeling it underneath the ground using it's roots all across the city. However as of late, there have been surges of magical pressure. It's as if…"

"As if it's afraid," Rias walked towards it and placed a hand on the bark. "What are you afraid of, something as big as you."

Rias immediately wished she hadn't asked such a question, as she felt the wind pick up. Normally she wouldn't be so unnerved, however that coupled with the fact that the tremors were starting. She had an awful feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"Rias!"

Akeno shot in front of Rias and put up a protective magic barrier and blocked an incoming attack. A sword had shot out of the tree, however it was stopped mid-air with Akeno's magic barrier.

Golden Arms! The Golden Fruit!

Something fell from the sky with tremendous force that pushed Akeno and Rias away. It must have something powerful seeing as it broke through Akeno's barrier as if it were nothing. Rias quickly got to her feet and witnessed a figure standing in a small crater as the dust began to settle. The sword was still floating in midair, however shot back to the figure, who grabbed it, the dust completely flying away as a result of the force of the blade hitting his hand.

Rias finally got a clear look at the figure. It was a man wearing a golden and crimson armor. His chest plate split apart in the middle of his chest, and his shoulder blades were protruding out. Oddly, it reminded Rias of an apple. His face was covered by a helmet that resembled a medieval knight, it was golden mostly except for two parts on either side that stuck up like horns. His belt buckle also caught Rias' attention. It was an odd shape, colored black with a yellow knife on the right side. It also held a lock in the middle, a picture drawn on the left side. She could also see his weapon clearly, It was a long jagged blade with a cross hilt. The man pointed the sword at Rias and Akeno, looking at them.

"Excuse me ladies, do you happen to know where I can find Gaim?" His voice was oddly melodic and soothing.

Rias looked to Akeno. She knew that this would end in a fight. However doubt that even with Akeno and her strengths combined, they'd be able to able to win. This man, whoever he is, he wasn't someone Rias should underestimate.

"I'm afraid we don't know what you're talking about," Rias answered him. "But if that is your only reason for attacking us, I'm sure we can come to an understanding and not resort to violence."

"Heh…you sure are the diplomatic type, aren't you." the man laughed. "However I must decline. I'm limited on time. Gaim will fall, if not by my hand, then by my Master's."

"Your Master?" Akeno asked. "Who is it that you serve?"

"My Master's name is not of importance right now," the man said in an amused tone. "I do apologize, but I have been ordered to not leave witnesses. Please, make peace with whatever deity you worship. I shall send you to the afterlife swiftly."

It happened to quickly, Rias couldn't react in time. The man had disappeared from his spot, several yards away from them, and appeared in front of Rias, swinging his sword.

The hit was blocked by a magic circle, however Akeno was right behind her. Rias looked up to see a figure dropping beside her. Wearing a pink Magical Girl uniform, the new arrival waved her wand and a huge cascade of ice launched towards the man, knocking him back.

"S-Serafall-Sama!" Rias was shocked to see one of the Four Satans saving her.

"Yo, Ria-Tan," Serafall winked. "Lucky for you we came just in time."

"We?" Akeno asked.

A magic circle opened up next to Rias, and a man in his early twenties appeared wearing a full set of battle armor. "B-Brother…" Rias said relief.

"Hello, Rias. Looks like we came just in time."

"Sirzechs, you stole my line." Serafall glared at him in anger.

Sirzechs Lucifer chuckled. "Apologies Serafall." He took a few steps forward and held out his hand to his side. "Rias, Akeno, stand back."

Rias got a better look at the man. His left hand had manifested a shield that blocked Serafall's attack. It was incredible, that was a full force frontal attack by a Satan. How was he still alive?

"I don't know who you are, but you will think again before attacking someone of my own blood." Sirzechs said with coldness in his voice. "Who are you?"

The man began to laugh. "I'm trembling. I never thought I'd find such strong prey here. This is the best!" He still continued to laugh. It was menacing and maniacal. "My name…My name is Mars. The name of the man who will kill you, is Mars!"

Mars' speed was unparalleled. He quickly broke free of the ice and launched a frontal attack at Serafall. However, the two Satans combined their strengths. Two magic circles opened and pinned Mars' arms to the ground.

Rias thought they were going to finish him, however Sirzechs turned back and walked towards the two. "We're leaving."

"What? We can't just leave him, brother. What if he-"

"That man…is powerful." Serafall said. "Even with the four of us, I don't know if we'll be able to-"

"Gaim!" Mars shouted. "You've chosen to hide in such a wonderful world! The strong are plentiful! I will kill every single last one of them if that's what it takes to flush you out! Do you hear me! Gaim!"

"We're leaving," Sirzechs opened a magic circle and the four of them entered. The last thing Rias saw was Mars laughing maniacally, before breaking free of the magic circles and charging towards them. However it was too late, Rias and the others had gone, leaving a psychotic warrior with unknown powers loose in Kuoh.
