"Sit! Sit, sit, sit, sit!" Kagome shouted, her fists clenched to her
sides. Inuyasha's face met the dirt several times over, and finally stopped
with a loud groan from the victim of this cruel and unusual torture. He sat
up, growling, and wiped his face off.
"Why, I oughta...what's wrong with you?" he shouted back at her, standing.
"Inuyasha, you are so rude, and not a bit romantic!" she cried, whipping around and storming off to her pack and her bicycle. She threw her pack over her shoulder and pedaled as hard as she could for the well. She climbed over the edge and dropped down into darkness. Inuiyasha followed, hopping along in long skips. He reached the well, and looked into it, being rewarded with nothing. Frusterated, he slammed his fist into the wood, noticing then a sparkle in the grass. He leaned over and found half of the Shikon fragments laying in the grass. He picked them up, smirking, and jumped down the well. He did not notice the young kitsune standing behind a tree, watching interestedly.
On the other side of the well, Kagome hopped out angrily and stomped out of the temple to her house. Opening the lavishly decorated rice paper doors, she called out that she was home.
"Oh, hello dear. Let me take that for you," her mother said softly, appearing from a side door and reaching for her backpack. Kagome sent her a grateful look. "Oh, Kagome, your friend Hojo called on you earlier. He wanted to know if you were feeling better," her mother added as she went into the other room. Kagome slid into the other room, glaring at her grandfather, whilst the latter of the two's head slunk down and his ears reddened.
"Why, uh, Kagome, you seem to have recovered rather quickly," her grandfather chuckled. Kagome shot him an annoyed look as she crossed her legs and sat across the table from him.
"Maybe that's cause I was never sick, gramps, but thanks for worrying," she declared in a dry voice. Her brother, Souta, ran into the room laughing, Buyo close in pursuit.
