Could I really be feeling this way? Matt thought to himself. Matt liked someone. Their name was David. Matt didn't want to feel this way especially with all the negativity about homosexuality in his school. He waited every day until lunch when he would be able to see the guy he admired over and over again, day after day. The attraction was sometimes so powerful that he would go the extra long way just to see the one guy he couldn't stay away from: David.

It was a sunny summer day, and Matt was walking with his friend Kevin around their neighborhood. Matt was thinking about David the entire time, and how he missed seeing him. Then Kevin asked a quite interesting question.

"What are you thinking about that you can't listen to me?"

Matt was speechless for the moment. He said the wrong four words to say in this kind of situation.

"I've got this secret."

"What's your secret?"

Matt couldn't believe he said that. He had to stall Kevin until he would forget about it or give up. The thing was that Kevin was a powerful person that needs to know everything and won't give up until he finds it out. So Matt attempted to stall until Kevin said something so shocking.

"What, are you gay?"

Matt just acted like he ignored Kevin, but was afraid to say yes. Kevin took the silence as a yes.

"It's okay Matt. I'm okay with gay people."

Matt was silent the whole rest of the walk back to his house.
