AN: Sorry this is so short, but my muse forced me to write it. Apparently Sirius won't let me finish "Old Family Ties" (the story I'm currently working on) until I told about his letter. Once again, my apologies.

Disclaimer: You know the drill. There all J.K.Rowling's (master of the universe) Except the plot which is mine, and Sirius, who lives in the spot my brain used to occupy. I hear talks of Lupin moving in too. Snape comes and goes as he pleases, that causes migraines. Akkkkkk!

Hagrid shuffled threw one of his old cloaks. He hadn't worn this one since he had pulled Harry form the wreckage of his parents dilapidated house. James and Sirius had given him this coat, and it brought back too many memories to wear.

He held it out, and remembered how they had made it for him themselves, and given it to him on graduation. It was slightly lop-sided, but Hagrid wore it with pride anyway. He started shuffling through the pockets of the old coat, looking for nothing in particular, just whatever might have been lurking in a pocket for all these years. A key, or a note, or a few knuts, or even some dust-bunnies. Just something to make cleaning worth it.

From inside a pocket, low on the inside of the coat he saw a letter, folded in half and yellowed with age. Intrigued, Hagrid pulled it out, and smacked himself on the head. Sirius had said this was life or death in this letter, as he had scribbled it onto a bit of parchment, leaning on that rock by the fallen house so many years ago. And Hagrid had go and get drunk and forget to give it to Dumbeldore.

What was inside it that was so important to a killer and a betrayer? Hagrid swore to take only a peek. But then he read the first line, then the next and the next. This was the answer to everything.

DEAR DUMBELDORE,

WE NEED TO TALK, ME AND PETER SWITCHED THE secret KEEPER JOB. THE PERFECT BLUFF. BUT IT BACKFIRED

PETER IS THE SPY. I'M GOING TO FIND HIM AND RING HIS FAT LITTLE NECK. YOU CAN COUNT ON IT

HE'S GOING TO PAY FOR THIS. I WANT HARRY. HE'S MY GODSON. SEND ME AN Owl. IT'LL FIND ME.

SIRIUS BLACK

Hagrid was in shock. He had caused Sirius's entombment in Azkaban. Realizing what he held, He was off, throwing the paper into a pocket and running up the stairs to Dumbeldore. Once again this letter was life and death. Except this time, Hagrid wouldn't forget.
