He and I are very different people. An obsessive compulsive, super genius physicist who loved comics and video games. And me a waitress from Nebraska who wanted to be an actress. We were neighbors for years. He even dated one of my friends. And I dated his roommate more times than I can count. We annoyed each other most of the time. Him annoyed with my messy apartment. And me with his obsessive need to be right all the time. But that all changed the day I kissed Sheldon Cooper. Yes the Sheldon Cooper! He is the last person I thought I would ever have a kiss. Even Howard Wolowitz before him. It all happened because of Leonard. Well I guess I should start at the beginning.
Penny rushed through the door of 4A without knocking. Startling an occupant of the apartment her boyfriend Leonard Hofstadter.
"Penny whats wrong is everything okay? Leonard asked concerned.
"Leonard I got the callback for the part in that new tv show i was telling you about. The one about two people who want to be actresses and share an apartment. And their male genius biologist neighbor. They said I portrayed the part well. And they want to see how well I interact with the neighbor." Penny said barely taking a breath.
She was so excited that she started jumping.
"Oh is that all. All I can say is dont get your hopes up yet since you dont have the part yet. " Leonard said annoyed that Penny was still trying to be an actress when she had not had a long part in years.
She should go to school and get a real job. All she is a waitress. I dont want the mother of my kind to be one of them. Its embrassing telling my colleagues that my girlfriend is a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory. He thought to himself.
Oh is that how you really feel! That you are embarrassed that i dont have a college degree like you and I work as a waitress! Penny yelled and in tears.
Leonard had not realized he had said that out loud.
"I...I...I am sorry Penny. Its just... Leonard was floundering for the words for Penny to forgive him and not break up with him.
"No! Leonard I dont want to hear it. If that is how you really feel then there is no point in us being together." Penny said through the sobs and the tears.
I knew that he wouldnt want someone who wasnt smart or sucessful. She thought With that she turned and ran out of the apartment and straight into Sheldon.
