Chapter 1
"It was 42 years after Galbatorix died, Nasuada had resigned from her place as Queen of Alagëisia. Eragon had taken her place on the throne. He and Saphira were very respected among the kingdom, one of the reasons for that was because he had helped most of the poor people of Alagëisia, filing their chests with pure gold. Roran was a father and Katrina a mother. Eragon could not believe that he was the king, yes it did take 54 years but he was king. He had also created an other island the size of Vroengard on the sea he had discovered on the far side of the Hadarac desert. He had named the island Asthylda. After 4 Dragons had hatched back in Alagëisia and went to the new island, Eragon considered that the new generation of Riders had begun." read Arya from Domina Abr Wyrda II. "More! More!" shouted the young children. "That's enough for today" said Arya. "King Eragon usually reads us more than that" said Atyr. Atyr was the oldest of the children, being 13. He was also the only elf there other than Arya. Arya sighed "For the millionth time, I am not Eragon." And with that she left the library of Ilf Kondür, the one and only city on Asthylda island.
It annoyed her when Eragon was busy and she had to teach history to the children that Eragon felt would be Riders soon. She went back to her room in the Shadeslayer Mansion. She found Eragon in her room waiting. "What do you want this time Eragon?" asked Arya. "I wanted to inform you of Islanzadí's resign from the throne, Arya Dröttning" replied Eragon. Eragon laughed as he saw Arya's surprised face. "You shall leave for Du Weldenvarden tomorrow morning on Fírnen." continued Eragon. "Taune thornessa ilian un slytha vel." finished Eragon in the ancient language. "Elrun ono" said Arya. Before he left she kissed Eragon on the mouth lightly, leaving Eragon blushing. Eragon contacted Saphira once he was in the hallway and told her about his short meeting with Arya.
The next morning Eragon bade Arya farewell and got another kiss from her before she left. He was a bit sad because just then he realized that Arya would have her own duties in Du Weldenvarden and would probably not visit him very often. Üfar came then to tell Eragon that Roran had become very sick and might die. At that, Eragon said "Saöta, pack my bags, I'm leaving." "Yes milord" said Saöta. Saphira asked if Eragon would go visit the Beors or Surda. Eragon said that he would after he had attended to Roran.
"Did you send the message" asked Roran. "Yes I did Roran, do not worry, I shall never abandon you Roran." replied Carn, Carvahall's spellcaster. After the war, Eragon had used magic to restore Carvahall to it's old glory.
"So, Eragon shall be returning to Ilirea?" asked Nasuada, former queen of Alagëisia. "Yes he shall, but only after he heals his cousin" replied Angela. "Of course, that is to be expected" said Nasuada. " I'm still wondering why Eragon moved the capital of Alagëisia to Ilf Kondür." said Farica. "I think it's because he has to rebuild the Riders there" replied Nasuada. "Probably." agreed Farica.
