Annabeth's eyes kept shifting around as she sipped her coffee. Across from her, Percy drummed his fingers against the café table. He sighed.
"Annabeth, calm down," he said.
"No," she replied warily. "It was enough of a risk coming here on Piper's pleads, but not looking out? That's too dangerous. Think what would happen if a monster jumped out and killed one of us? Huh? Exactly!" Annabeth whispered at Percy's blank expression.
"Don't worry! Look, if anything happens, I'll protect you, I promise!"
Annabeth just leaned back in her wooden chair and sipped her coffee again. Percy followed suit.
(DUCKS SHALL RULE THE WORLD!)
Percy and Annabeth had returned from the Café, following Annabeth's pleads. There were no attacks, which confused Annabeth greatly. Upon return, Piper immediately came to greet the couple, but was screamed at.
Next, Annabeth ran over to the big house, to tell Chiron about the lack of attack.
"Hmm. Very interesting. I don't know what might have caused it, but you should be on your guard, Annabeth. Especially with Gaea rising. Something's up, mark my words."
Later that night, once Annabeth was fast asleep, she slipped away from her dream.
"Where am I?" she asked bewilder, her voice echoing in the black. "What's happening?"
The familiar figure of Hades melted right in front of Annabeth. Unfortunately, he was only wearing milk white tighty-whiteys.
Annabeth had never seen anything more horrifying in her life.
"Oh, sorry!" Hades muttered, a black nightgown forming over his clothes. "Oh, Crap!" he shouted. Well, he didn't exactly say Crap, but let's keep it at crap. (Yes, that line was from MR) He let loose a long string of curses.
"Er, I didn't know you cross-dress," Annabeth said meekly.
"Changing subject! Anyway, I need to tell you something. Mnemosye is rising. She has given you mercy today. Tomorrow, she will be ruthless."
"What?"
"Remember that the only way to slay a titan is to overcome their power, and use their strengths against them."
"You're not giving me enough information, you gay bas-" Annabeth suddenly woke up from her dream, sweating horribly, and around her bunk were her sisters, and Piper.
"Exuse me," Piper said politely. "But who are you?"
