It was a crisp, cool autumn afternoon. There were many trees in the park, each one shedding red, gold, and green leaves. He walked forward, trying to find her.

He wasn't disappointed. She was sitting on a wooden bench, looking the other way, lost in thought.

Her bench was in the middle of four giant oaks, and leaves fell to the ground thickly, almost like rain. He went over to her and sat down next to her. He felt her stiffen automatically, but her head didn't move. They sat in silence, neither peaceful or awkward, and finally, he broke it.

"I'm sorry," he murmured quietly. Now she looked at him.

"It's too late for that," she replied. She stood slowly, gave him a glance, and then walked away. He called after her, unwilling to lose her, but she either ignored him or didn't hear him. He decided on the former.

He took off after her and ran in front of her, blocking her way. She attempted to go around him, but he wrapped his arms around her waist, stopping her in place. She still struggled, but they both knew he was stronger than her, and she gave up after about ten seconds.

She glared at him, "What do you want?" she growled. He simply looked at her, not wanting to answer. She had gotten more aggressive lately, and he didn't want her to see how much it surprised him.

"Well?" she demanded again. Leaning in, he whispered in her ear, "Because I love you."

She froze. Her mind battled with the rest of her. Part of her hated him with all its might, but another part...Another part sort of wanted to fall into his trap. Again.

She chose her decision, taking a full thirty seconds.

She slapped him.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Then, since his grip had weakened, she stormed away, and this time he did not try to follow.

Huh. Well...*shrugs*That was a drabble, so don't yell at me for shortness, please. I suppose you can pick whoever it is, but I think at some point it started becoming Ian and Amy. Anyways, I hope you liked it.
